Magnolia Cottage on the Fraser River is located north of the town of Hope, BC – in Dogwood Valley just off Highway #1 in the Fraser Canyon. You will experience a little bit of paradise in a small rustic cabin surrounded by woodland gardens with 160 feet of river frontage and beach access at low tide. Enjoy the deck with a propane fire pit or the wood fire pit when permitted.

Hope is renowned for its carvings. In the cabin you will find a brochure guide for the amazing carvings around our little town. A must see is the Art Gallery on Fort street. There you will find many treasures of wonderful artistry, pottery, fiber arts, paintings, jewelry, and woodworking just to name a few.

Cabin Guidelines This is a peaceful place. Inconsideration of our neighbourhood quiet time is from 10pm until 8am. Music is tolerated at a moderate volume until 10pm. Please note this is a canyon & valley & any noise will carry & be heard. Pls. Keep the propane fire pit cover on it when not in use and the propane and fire pit turned off. Pls. Re cover the BBQ after use and clean the BBQ No Parties allowed No cooking in the cabin except the Microwave. There is a BBQ provided. All fires must be completely extinguished before retiring to bed, no open flame in the cabin. I accept pets on a case-by-case basis No fireworks allowed or candles allowed No Swimming – the river is dangerous. It is called the Mighty Fraser River for a reason. Please be “bear aware” We have wild animals in the area. Please keep all food and garbage in designated storage provided. Please do not put food or garbage in the wood fire pit. Please make sure the gates are all closed when entering and leaving. Smoking There is no smoking of any kind in the cabin or on the deck. You are welcome to smoke outside by the fire pit and place butts in the tin can provided NOT IN THE FIREPIT. Especially in the summer please use extreme caution as the forests gets extremely dry. Parking You can park up top in the designated parking area or on the street if during the day you will be in and out a lot as I have a wrought iron gate and keep it closed so the animals do not get out. Our little street is very quiet and your vehicle is safe. Please remove your shoes before entering the cabin. Upon Check-in - Check in time is 3pm - if you are earlier pls contact me in advance for early check in. - Upon arrival, please call me before opening the wrought iron gate as I have animals and you must meet the dogs before entering. - I will guide you through my property to the entrance of the path to the cabin. - There will be a waiver to be signed by each guest. Prior to check out - There is a brown bin for recycling, bottles and garbage pls take all you items and place them there. It is a brown box located beside the cabin. - Please put your towels and linen in the laundry basket in the cabin. - Please wash and dry your dishes and put them away. - Remove any food items from the fridge and take them home. - Turn off all lights, turn the heat off and close the door. Upon check out Please depart by 11am so I may prepare the cabin for the next guests. If you have any concerns or needs, please do not hesitate to call or text me. Have a safe journey!
