About this listing Our property is a gorgeous 100 acres, located on Bungonia Creek. We have a 5-acre vineyard, permaculture gardens, a 6000 litre aquaponics system, a no-dig vegetable garden, cows and sheep in the paddocks, and an abundance of native wildlife such as kangaroos, wombats, rabbits, and colourful native birds. The eastern boundary of our property is formed by the Bungonia Creek as it winds its way through to the Bungonia Gorge, a popular tourist spot for hikers and canyoners, located in the Bungonia National Park. We are situated on the site of an extinct volcano and have the ruins of the old “Hit or Miss Inn” (c 1832) located in one of our paddocks. The space The tiny house is nestled in a small clearing surrounded by native trees and vegetation. There is a view over our dam and distant views across the valley. Our tiny house is a lovely studio space of 155 sqft. It offers guests a comfortable stay with its well-equipped kitchenette, complete with a queen sized bed, ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning and heating. Perfect for 2 persons! The kitchenette has everything you need to cook your light meals with. A portable cooker, cookware, cooking utensils, cutlery, dishes & silverware, microwave and even a mini fridge. The portable cooker can be kept in the drawers when not in use to maximise space. Our bathroom facilities follow ecologically sustainable principles, including a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin and shower (gas heated for hot showers). In Australia’s severe climatic challenge of bush fires and drought, we help to save the environment by conserving water using an eco-friendly toilet. Wastes are broken down in the compost toilet via an aerobic decomposition process. It is a waterless system (no need to flush!), whereas a standard dual flush toilet would use up to 350L of water per week. An aeration fan helps in the decomposition process and minimises odours. If you’re using your own soap, shampoo, tooth paste, we ask that you bring biodegradable ones so that the grey water runoff does not harm the environment. Thank you! Guest access Guests will have access to the tiny house and are welcome to explore the entire property. You may visit the house and garden but appointment should be arranged beforehand. Other things to note – No wifi. – Farm and garden tours can be arranged. – We are able to provide farm fresh eggs and seasonal vegetable packs at extra cost. Please request this ahead of your stay so we can have if ready for you. – A meal (breakfast or dinner) with the hosts is available on request for an extra cost and this must be pre-booked ahead of your stay. – It is advisable to wear sturdy shoes (joggers or boots) when walking the property. Sandals and thongs are not suitable. – Some of our fences are electric and visitors must use the gates, observing country rules of “if open leave open, if closed leave closed”. – Fires are only permitted in the fire-pit provided and only when there is no fire-ban in place. – We are a working regenerative farm and as such we are not set up to host pets, infants or children. – Mobile reception is best with Telstra but some reception can be obtained on Optus
