Kanimbla Valley Willow Tree Bend
Tiny house · 2 guests
About this place
Enjoy the crisp clean fresh air, spectacular views and scenery at Kanimbla Valley Willow Tree Bend as well as the spectacular views of the Blue Mountain’s escarpment.
The night skies are alive with stars which you can see so clearly on a cloudless night. Watch a shooting star, or look at the Southern Cross, Milky Way and the planets, Saturn, Jupiter, Pluto and Mars.

There are plenty of wild life here – kangaroos, echidnas, wombats, eagles, cockatoos, and gang gang cockatoos, also trout in the Cox river.

We own a small vineyard and produce homemade wines.

The space
The tiny house has great views overlooking the vineyard and the surrounding valley. It is located above the vineyard with easy access to drive up and park next to the tiny house.

Our tiny house is a lovely studio space of 155 sqft. It offers guests a comfortable stay with its well-equipped kitchenette, complete with a queen sized bed, ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning and heating. Perfect for 2 persons! The kitchenette has everything you need to cook your light meals with. A portable cooker, cookware, cooking utensils, cutlery, dishes & silverware, microwave and even a mini fridge. The portable cooker can be kept in the drawers when not in use to maximise space.

Our bathroom facilities follow ecologically sustainable principles, including a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin and shower (gas heated for hot showers). In Australia's severe climatic challenge of bush fires and drought, we help to save the environment by conserving water using an eco-friendly toilet. Wastes are broken down in the compost toilet via an aerobic decomposition process. It is a waterless system (no need to flush!), whereas a standard dual flush toilet would use up to 350L of water per week.. An aeration fan helps in the decomposition process and minimises odours.

If you're using your own soap, shampoo, tooth paste, we ask that you bring biodegradable ones so that the grey water runoff does not harm the environment. Thank you!

Guest access
Guests will have access to the tiny house and recreational area where there is a fire pit, BBQ, and fridge.

Guests are free to roam the surroundings on the property. If your host is around, he may even invite you to enjoy a glass of wine together on the deck under the wisteria pergola looking over the valley views.

When entering or leaving the property, check that you have shut the gates.

Other things to note
– Mobile reception is good for Telstra and Optus
– No WiFi
– Strictly no pets allowed

There's a Rhodesian Ridgeback dog called “Ringo”. He is extremely friendly and will be kept enclosed at the main house during your stay. If you wish to befriend Ringo and do not mind him out in the property with you, please feel free to let him out of the main house enclosure, but only when the host is at home.

There is a recreational area next to the tiny house for you to use whenever you wish, which includes :
– Fire pit
– Fridge
– A weber BBQ (instructions on how to use the Weber BBQ are placed at the BBQ)

Please note that the initial bag of firewood is free. Additional bags will be at a cost of $10 per bag.

– We are situated in the countryside and you may encounter insects such as spiders throughout your stay as these are part of the natural ecosystem of the bush
