High to the sky, peace and quiet, beautiful nature and many animals. These are some of the things you can experience as a guest here at the Thorupgaard farm. The cozy cabin is located right next to the meadow, where our Dexter cattle walk and graze together with the three ponies Malthe, Alberte and Kamala Harris 
The cabin is cozy with a lovely bed, made up with duvets, pillows and bed linen. 
A small cozy corner with armchairs, small table and lamp, where you can enjoy a game of cards or a board game. Or a good cup of coffee

In extension of the cabin there is a covered terrace with a grill, table with two chairs and a sail to the west and south. Perfect place to sit and enjoy the morning sun.

Next to the cabin there is a large terrace with a hot tub and 2 deck chairs with a table.
The hot tub has bubble massage and lights. Relax in the warm water while you get a massage from the bubbles, and enjoy a glass of cool rose or a beer. It's not that bad, as we say here in Vendsyssel.
The hot tub is heated with firewood. Bring your own firewood or buy it here from us and light it yourself. However, we are always happy to help with the lighting.
We are also happy to heat the hot tub so that it is ready to jump in when you arrive. Price 600 kr including firewood.
As a start, or perhaps end, of a lovely day, it is obvious to light a small fire on the fire pit next to the cabin. Maybe make popcorn, bake pancakes or snobrød over the fire? And end the day by enjoying the last embers of the fire while the sun sets in the west.

And if you have brought your walking shoes, we can recommend a walk on the Stenum trail, a 5 km long adventure route, which, among other things, goes down into our beautiful meadow. A map of the trail is in the cabin.

Shared facilities include a toilet trailer with a shower, a playground, a large sandbox, and the barn with, among other things, mini pigs, rabbits, chickens and ducks.

The price includes breakfast, final cleaning, bed linen, towels, bathrobes and bath sandals. 

In 2023, we have set up a combined farm shop and grill café in the old pig barn. 
The shop/cafe is pleasantly furnished with furniture, household items and decorative objects from a bygone era. 
In the freezer in the farm shop you will find delicious, tender beef from our own Dexter cattle. Our cattle go out into the fields and meadows all year round. The calves always go with their mothers and get breast milk for as long as they want. This natural life gives healthy, strong animals that are very rarely sick, and therefore do not receive medicine. And of course we do not spray our fields. And you can taste it in the meat, which is tender and tastes fantastic. We have various cuts: steaks for grilling or frying, short ribs, ground beef, etc. However, we reserve the right that certain cuts may be sold out. 
There is beer, water, wine in the cooler. 
In addition, we also have mead, jams, honey, snacks and crafts from local artists. 
In the grill cafe we ​​have burgers, all made from minced meat from our own cattle, grilled chicken, french fries, sausage mix, sandwiches, open sandwiches etc. on the menu. 
And homemade cakes, including pretzel cakes and coffee/tea
During the children's summer holidays we also offer homemade "Grandma's food", which must be ordered no later than 10 am the same day. Ask the staff what is on the menu.
You can also order a picnic basket: Sandwich, cake, fruit, small bottle of wine, water as well as glasses, cutlery and plates. 
It is also possible to order food to make yourself: "Bake-your-own mini pizzas", pancake dough with toppings, snobrød dough with ketchup, mustard and remoulade, or popcorn to make over a campfire.
