Cirkusvognen på Ærø

On Ærø stands an old circus wagon - highly modernized.

Its construction is full of stories. About a life lived with dedication and the will to practice, practice, practice. When you close your eyes, you can almost feel the tension in your stomach when the artist holds her breath before she enters the ring, climbs high under the colorful tent cloth and in moments of daring and contempt for death, to excite thousands of gaping children and adults, throws herself... 

You can still feel it when you step into the circus wagon. Carried by dreams, it has now been transformed into an adventurous and luxurious retreat. A unique get-away for those who want to experience how the silence, art and history, hidden in the curved ceilings, together create an atmosphere that makes the body calm down and the thoughts fly. With somersaults and clowning.

The circus wagon on Ærø has been completely renovated into a simple and stylish dwelling, with everything you need. It stands completely undisturbed, in the beautiful nature of Ærø, right where the forest turns into fields and where the view unfolds before your eyes. 

The wagon is decorated both outside and inside by the artist Jonas Pihl, who with his colorful universe creates inspiring surroundings. The circus wagon is located on a large natural plot on the outskirts of Marstal, which is Ærø's largest town, with approximately 3,000 inhabitants.

In the town there are good shopping opportunities, restaurants, cafes, a large and beautiful harbor and a fantastic beach.

Breakfast is in the refrigerator/freezer upon arrival, ready to serve.

There are sourdough buns from Brødsheriffen on Ærø. Sourdough, water and salt as well as organic mariagertoba, coarse wheat and fine wheat. The flour comes from Kragegaar on Funen.

A package from Marstang Mad & Vin with organic butter, homemade local jam, cheese from Arla Unika and ham from Funen pigs.

The espresso machine is filled with beans from the local roaster Dynamo, and in the fridge there is 1 liter of organic milk ready for you to brew the perfect latte.
