Camp Ræven is a small, undisturbed glamping site at Bakkegaarden in West Zealand. Here you stay in the middle of nature with a private bathing and fishing lake, open fields, and rich wildlife – only about 1 hour's drive from Copenhagen, Odense, and Sweden 🚗

The pace is slow here with starry nights, birdsong, and the special tranquility that arises when everyday life releases its grip ✨

You park in our courtyard, where we personally welcome you, and then you walk about 450 meters up to your glamping tent and untouched nature. It is possible to borrow a cart.

The glamping tent is comfortably furnished with a view of the lake and has its own outdoor area with its own campfire site, covered dining area, hammocks, and plenty of space around the tent as well as all the necessary equipment.

The glamping tent is close to the toilet and outdoor kitchen, and it is our most spacious tent. Therefore, it is ideal for those of you traveling with more people and/or who want to be close to the toilet.

In the morning, we have a basket with homemade breakfast ready for you, which you pick up at the farm. It is based on local ingredients – several of which are grown at Bakkegaarden 🥐🍓

The area around the farm is rich in experiences. Bakkegaarden is close to Nature Park Åmosen and several Natura 2000 areas, and the wildlife is a natural part of the stay. We have, among other things, a Kingfisher pair living by the lake - in the evening at sunset, you can spot the deer, and if you are up early, you might be lucky to see a mother fox with her cubs 🐦🌳

We are a small family that has lived on the farm for several generations and run the place with respect for nature. We personally welcome you and ensure that the framework is in place so you can relax and enjoy the simple life close to nature 👩‍🌾

The stay includes

1. Beds made with air-dried bedding and 1x towel per person

4. A box of firewood with kindling

5. Tableware and basic kitchen equipment as well as your own campfire site and private outdoor area 🔥

6. Access to our lovely nature and private bathing and fishing lake

Facilities and settings

You have access to a real toilet with cold water and a camp shower among the trees with solar-heated water, an outdoor kitchen with a gas stove and cool bags, extra blankets and hot water bottles, a stargazing area, a bathing house with the possibility of borrowing kimonos, as well as cozy lighting powered by solar panels. The facilities are shared with 3 other tents

Add-ons

There is an option to purchase a cauldron with rabbit meat from Bakkegaarden's own rabbits prepared by a local chef, extra firewood, luxurious towels, fishing, as well as jam and other delicacies from the farm's small shop 🍓

In the nearby area, you will find beautiful walking and cycling routes, farm shops within 0.7–3 km, a large cake table about 3 km from the farm, Bjernede Round Church, the local train in Bagmarken (1.5 km), and shopping at Dagli’Brugs about 5 km from us 🥾🍰⛪️

Many guests say they wish they had booked an extra night. To get the full nature experience, we therefore recommend a minimum of 2 nights ⛺️

No WiFi, no electricity, and only hot water heated by the sun - right close to nature and all the good that comes with it.

We therefore recommend that you leave your phone in your bag. Should there be a need, it can of course be charged at the farm in case of emergency 📵

Practical info:

1. Babies up to 1 year stay free in parents' bed – we need to be informed in advance if you bring babies.

2. Children from 2 years are booked as extra bedding (let us know if you want a mattress or travel crib)

3. Dogs are not allowed, except for authorized service dogs by prior arrangement.

4. If you have special needs, please contact us before booking so we can align expectations.

5. Camp Ræven is our largest tent with a diameter of 6 m and very spacious. The tent is furnished with a double bed (140x200), two mattresses for extra bedding, a table and seating area, as well as various furnishings with everything you need for a comfortable stay in nature.
