Camping spot description
Experience and be fascinated by magnificent natural landscapes where the open sea meets the coast.
Right out by the sea, more precisely by Sletta, in heather moors and small ponds, Hagland Store has been driven forward for generations.
The nature park has paths that lead you around the area with history from, among other things, the Viking Age, mining and the fortifications from World War II. Close to nature, sheltered from the weather and wind, echoes can be heard from stories far back in time. A great experience of wild Norwegian nature and Old Norse agriculture.
The area is known for:
- The Viking Floke Vilgerdsson - Ravnafloke had his seat here before he sailed west and discovered Iceland in the year 890.
- Mining from the ***** century, and extraction of rock crystal and feldspar
- Fortress from World War II
- Norway's first center for offshore training
- Rich wildlife such as ravens, hubro, sea eagles, foxes, vipers, hares and deer

Here you can experience the open sea with wind and waves, sheltered zones in the forest, history and culture go hand in hand. Lots of playground, freedom, peace and quiet in a magnificent western Norwegian nature.
