Trollskogen i Lier
Max. 4 people per unit - 1 bedroomAccommodation, Glampsite, Eco-friendly, Family friendly
Accommodation description
Welcome to tall treetops and fairytale forest! Lierdalen is like a green lung between Oslo and Drammen, and offers a surprisingly large range of nature experiences and activities close to the big cities. Lier is referred to by some as Norway's Tuscany. We shouldn't claim that the area recreates exactly the same feelings as the elongated Italian vines, but it still has something going for it. Trips along fjords, fields and gorges put the brain on pause in both summer and winter, whether on foot, by bike or on skis. If you like fishing, you have several options for casting out the line, and the golf enthusiast has one of Norway's best courses to play on. Close to the Lierelva, which binds the valley together, you can spend the night in an igloo that offers intimacy with the forest off the beaten track. Here you can forget everyday life while looking up into the treetops, hug trees if you want nature's care, take a dip in the river, or make use of the rich experience opportunities in the valley. Only 300 meters from the igloo, the trip to Asdøljuvet starts, a completely unique experience and perhaps the most exciting trip you can take in Lier. Juvet has a special wilderness nature that is best described as magical. How exciting the trip up will be depends a little on the water flow in the river, which you have to cross up to several times before you get to Asdøltjern. "Asdøljuvet is a piece of Vestland in Eastern Norway. There is wilder nature and sharper terrain." Marte Bergsland, landowner and hostess of the igloo When you first arrive at Asdøltjern, you have the whole of Vestmarka available, so the hiking possibilities are endless.
