About the property

Property description
Monte das Louzeiras is located near the Spanish border, between Seville (150km) and Serpa (16km) in the Serra Adiça, nestled in a 40 ha olive grove with trees around 300 years old and a vineyard. On the farm you will also find sheep, horses, dogs, cats, geese, chickens, peacocks, an ostrich and much more. We produce our wine in amphorae and oak barrels. In our shop you will find, besides wine: olive oil, piri piri, honeys, cosmetic products made of olive oil, vinegars and aromatised salts and oils. We are a family business with Swiss and Portuguese roots and welcome you from the end of April until the end of October. I

    Secret tip
On the nearby Guadiana River with the Pulo do Lobo gorge or the Alqueva, the largest reservoir in Europe, you can discover the impressive landscapes by canoe or boat. On foot you can reach the small village of Vale de Vargo. A 30-minute drive will take you to the small town of Serpa, where you can visit cultural events or museums. It is considered the capital of the Cante Alentejano, a traditional choral singing of the region recognised by UNESCO as a cultural heritage of humanity since 2014.
