It took me about 27 months and approximately 4000 hours to plan and build the dome. 

It started off with me trying to make a small dome model, which failed, but not completly....so there was still some hope. Three months and four models later i started to build the full-scale dome which measured 6m in diameter and now weighs 5000kg.  The whole dome was built inside a barn a few hundred meters away from the final location. After completion. I rolled it out on a ramp, then lifted it four meters up into the trees using a massive mobile crane and a neighbour's tractor and carriage.
