Wild camping with a mountain view - Quinta do Sol Poente

Very lovely place, with big spots for camping and a beautiful view! The owner is very friendly and gave us a warm welcome.

This place is just perfect. Having a swim in their natural water reservoir with a stunning view over hills, olive trees, avocado trees and fig trees while watching the sunset was one of the highlights of my trip so far. They have 3 dedicated campervan spots and a few spots to pitch a tent, all overlooking the valley. The hosts Nuno and Brunna love to share their place with others, so you feel welcome and at home as soon as you enter their land. The place is a bit rough, pure nature, really beautiful, peaceful and quiet. Nuno and Brunna have put a lot of love in the place and created some little corners with hammocks and a place under an olive tree, where you can relax and take in nature. The bathroom is simple, but all you need and clean, with a shower with a very strong water pressure. I highly recommend buying their self-made orange with cinnamon marmalade!

The host was super helpful and friendly. It was a nice location within walking distance to Silves. The shower and toilet are basic and attached to the main house about 150 metres from where we camped. Wi fi was only available close to the house. The ground was level and the reservoir was good for a refreshing swim and to watch the sunset.

Très bel endroit pour camper. Accueil chaleureux de Nuno, on sent qu’il a mis tout son cœur dans cette quinta.
