Welcome to a peaceful garden retreat just outside the historic town of Køge. This is a place for slowing down, reconnecting with nature, and enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
The cabin is surrounded by a lush garden with many cozy corners. Follow the last rays of the evening sun, relax in the shade on a warm summer day, or enjoy a quiet moment with a book in one of the hidden seating areas. A covered terrace, barbecue, hammock, and greenhouse create inviting spaces to gather, cook, and dine—even on cooler evenings.
The garden is full of seasonal delights. Depending on the time of year, you can enjoy apples, plums, cherry plums, grapes, rhubarb, fresh herbs, strawberries, blackcurrants, and redcurrants growing around you.
Life here is intentionally simple. Fresh drinking water is collected from the nearby community house, while rainwater is used for the toilet. The outdoor shower is located in a private shower cabin, allowing you to enjoy a refreshing shower surrounded by nature after warming the water. It’s a charming way to disconnect from everyday routines and embrace a slower pace.
Inside you’ll find an open-plan kitchen and living area, one bedroom with a 110 cm bed, a sofa bed for two, and a small daybed suitable for a child.
The location offers the best of both nature and town life:
1.5 km to a local bakery
2 km to the charming old town of Køge
2.8 km to the beach
6 km to the beautiful Vallø Castle Park
Whether you spend your day exploring the coast, cooking with fresh herbs from the garden, or simply listening to the birds from a hammock, this little retreat is designed to help you slow down and recharge.

“I enjoy a simple and grounded lifestyle, where nature, aesthetics, and meaningful experiences matter more than luxury. I love gardening, cooking with fresh ingredients, spending time with friends, and creating cozy spaces where people can truly relax. I believe the best memories are made outdoors, around good food, quiet mornings, and genuine conversations. Hosting is my way of sharing a peaceful retreat with others who appreciate slow living and the beauty of nature.”
