The space
The Ecopia Villas provide the ultimate romantic escape to nature. Villa Ada and Villa May, each set in secluded locations on a vast property, full of wildlife and spectacular scenery. Ecopia Retreat is a registered dedicated wildlife sanctuary. The eco-friendly Villas deliver an authentic Kangaroo Island immersive experience. The most unique off-grid luxury slow-stay on KI!

Guest access
Guests are invited to explore around this spectacular property. A map is provided, showing boundaries and suggested walking trails. The property is accessible to 2WD vehicles. Many of the roads on Kangaroo Island are unsealed, but do not require 4WD vehicles. It is recommended that a standard size sedan or larger vehicles be used, in the interest of comfort on the roads at different times of the year.

Accessibility - We love sharing our beautiful property with our guests, allowing them to relax in the peaceful setting and enjoy watching the wildlife in their natural habitat. We believe in being inclusive, so the Ecopia Retreat Villas were designed with accessible holidays in mind. Villa accessible features include:

*Boardwalk from the car park to deck surrounding the Villa
*Deck surrounding the Villa is at the same level as the interior
*The Villa interior is single leveled and very spacious
*The contemporary minimalistic interior design and furnishing allow easy access and maneuverability inside the Villa
*The spacious bathroom has a flat floor, and features a wide, open shower (1000mm), and a raised toilet seat
*Shower stool and toilet surrounds provided

**Please note that the entrance to the Villa is via a double glazed glass sliding door.

Other things to note
The Eco Villas are identical and can be booked separately or together by two couples wanting to holiday together, while enjoying their own private spaces. The Villas are within walking distance of each other, but situated in secluded locations. Ecopia is a destination in its own right. Staying here is like staying within a national park, so it is recommended that guests allow the time to explore around the property during their stay. The property is located very centrally on the Island, and is the perfect base to explore the highlights of the Island from. While very central, the Retreat is still located on a large bush land, away from restaurants and shops, and so is designed to be self-contained for independent travellers. Further guest services are available as ‘add-ons’ such as Eat & Drinks packages and massages.
