Spectacular climbing tent - Portaledge

We welcome groups outside the scheduled season if a minimum of 2 tents are booked. We have capacity for up to 14 people.

Join us for a spectacular experience – completely out of the ordinary. Spend the night on the south wall of Røggjin (1370 m) and experience the Alps of Scandinavia in a way you never have before.

Skysleeping offers a complete and unique experience in nature, including guiding and accommodation in a portaledge – a climbing tent that is attached to the rock face.

Join us on a spectacular Via Ferrata tour to Røggjin and enjoy the magical view from your very own climbing tent on the rock face.

Our competent and experienced guides will accompany you on the adventure from start to finish, ensuring your safety and providing you with wonderful nature experiences along the way.

The tour starts at 6:00 PM with a meeting point along Holdeskarvegen. From here, we walk together at a leisurely pace for about 45 minutes up to the wall where the tents hang.

At the rock face itself, you will receive a thorough introduction to climbing and the safety related to the overnight stay. The guides will facilitate so that everyone can have a good experience, regardless of prior knowledge.

- The tour is suitable for anyone who is physically fit enough to walk 45 minutes to the rock face.

- We have a 13-year age limit for our events; individuals under 18 must sleep in a tent with an adult.

- Alcohol is not allowed in the tent.

Skysleeping's guides provide the safety equipment needed to carry out the tour safely. The tents are equipped with comfortable sleeping pads for a pleasant overnight stay.

However, some personal basic equipment is required to participate:

- Sleeping bag suitable for an overnight stay in the mountains
- Clothes for a day outdoors, preferably a hat and thin mittens if it gets cold at night
- Snacks and some drinks
- Camera, this is an overnight stay worth documenting!
