Welcome to this unique rural Artists' Hideaway by the Sea, nestled on the wild Atlantic coast of Galicia, Spain, created by the host, a Swiss-trained landscape architect, as her own secret escape. A personal retreat shaped by Art & a deep respect for the Land, this hidden gem is now discreetly shared with nature lovers who value the essential and appreciate preserving its character.
The guest accommodation occupies the private 80m² main floor of the house, a bright open-plan space with a kitchen, dining area, and two living zones: one with a double bed (1.50 × 1.90m), the other with two sofas used as single beds (0.90 × 1.77m each), facing the home cinema screen. Velvet curtains provide privacy between the sections.
The large window fills the interior with light and brings the scenery indoors. At night, it offers a peaceful setting to watch the moon rise beneath a star-filled sky. Guests also enjoy the sunny terrace at the entrance, while the garden is reserved for property use only.
This soulful refuge awaits, offering inspiration and reflection.
The ARTISTS' HIDEAWAY by the SEA is set within a breathtaking coastal and rural environment of Sea, Forests, Mountains, traditional stone granaries, and small villages, offering a rare sense of harmony with nature and local culture. The ever-changing panorama unfolds into the distance, while sailing boats drift quietly across the coves below.
Located in one of the most unspoilt corners of the Rías Baixas, this part of Galicia maintains the authentic character of the Atlantic coast, where traditions and regional heritage remain closely connected.
This beautiful rural shelter is around a 10-minute walk from beautiful coves and beaches, while Muros, a well-preserved fishing town, is only 10 minutes by car. Within a short drive, surf spots invite those drawn to the ocean and the rhythm of the waves.
Santiago de Compostela and its airport are 50 minutes away, A Coruña and Vigo around 1 hour 25 minutes, and the legendary Cape Finisterre — the End of the World (au Bout du Monde), the final horizon of the pilgrims’ Camino journey — is just 1 hour away.

Tate is a Swiss-trained Architect & Landscape Architect who studied and taught at the University of Geneva before creating her own SITE/ART/LANDSCAPE & FILM studio between the Basque and Galician Coasts. She is the designer & host of the "Artists’ Hideaway by the Sea" in Galicia, her secret refuge au bout du monde, now shared with adventurous creatives and nature lovers who value the essential and appreciate preserving its character. Tate loves to surf wild Atlantic waves & has recently been drawn to the dream of sailing beyond the End of the World, while rethinking how we inhabit the territory and care for the Planet.
