Cozy cabin with good facilities. We saw a lot of birds and squirrels around the cabin and the veranda, which was positive. We think the outdoor area on both the veranda and down by the fire pit could have been better.

“My versatile interest in nature was the background and origin of the idea for Norway's first Tree Top Cabins. I got the idea for Tree Top Cabins early in the 2000s. After some failures, a lot of climbing, nailing, and daring construction attempts, Furuhytta, as Norway's first tree top cabin, was built and approved for overnight stays! There was a lot of media coverage and interest from guests, which up until 2022 has led to a total of seven unique tree top cabins: Furuhytta, Lerkhytta, Granhytta, Himmelhytta, Bjørkhytta, Klatrehytta, and finally Utsiktsredet. The tree top cabins are not permanent structures and have a limited lifespan. This means that after the usage period ends, the cabins will be dismantled. Nature will get the trees and the area back – and we sincerely thank you for the loan ❤️”

Lovely cabin and lovely view, very friendly hosts!
We had a fantastic weekend at Klatrehytta. Exciting for both young and old.
