Accommodation description
Down a short path through the evergreens, you'll come upon wooden stairs leading to the treetops. High in the canopy, our treehouse nests await your arrival. Carefully sourced from all natural, local materials, the nests melt into their surroundings as one with nature. Each accommodation is equipped with a wrap-around terrace, ceiling-to-floor windows, a full bathroom - including an exclusive rainforest shower - and comfy window seat couches to enjoy the spectacular view. Enjoy a steaming cup of ecological coffee (our treat!) while watching the sunrise from a bird's eye view. If you want something tasty to go with your coffee, we can deliver our very own farm made meats and eggs at your request.

After some adventures in the forrest you can walk down to your private man made lake right beside your tree top hut. At the lake there is a cozy sitting area with a fire pit where you can grill farm made burgers while the kids play in the lake.

    About the property

    Property description
At Faråsen, there are two exclusive treetop cabins in Brummundal. The independent treetop cabins, built on stilts a full 10 meters above the ground, are Norway's tallest of their kind. Surrounded by beautiful natural scenery at Mjøsa, you will find the beautiful treetop farm that offers a completely unique experience in the outdoors, only a couple of hours from Oslo.

The unique treetop cabins in Brummundal

The two treetop cabins have been created to accommodate comfort and luxury with closeness to nature and the treetops. Both cabins are just over 20 square meters in size, furnished to create comfort at altitude for the whole family. Outside each of the treetop cabins in Brummundal, there is a private pond with rowing boats, a living area with a fire pit and a cozy gap hut. The treetop cabins are built to be enjoyed all year round, and are well insulated in winter and can be heated with the wood stove in the cabin. Around the cabins there is a larger terrace where you can enjoy the view as well as large floor to ceiling windows at the front.

Here you really get a taste of luxury among the treetops, of which both cabins have complete bathrooms with rain showers, comfortable sofas in the living room, as well as large comfortable beds. You also have a fully equipped kitchen where you can make a better dinner, or you can order short-distance food directly from Faråsen farm.

The cabins are carefully designed to be child-friendly, despite their high location. Here, childproofing has been installed in all stairs as well as digital guides on how you can ensure a child-friendly stay in the treetops.

The story behind Faråsen Tretophytter in Brummundal
The two Treetop cabins in Brummundal are set up on a family-run farm that has been in operation since the 1980s. The project to start with treetop cabins came from a desire to give unique experiences to people and make childhood dreams come true. The farm owner Ruben got the idea to create something unique during a long course of illness a few years ago. Since then, the family of six has worked together to create exemplary treetop experiences alongside the farm.

    Additional services at Faråsen tretoppgård

All guests can order local food directly from Faråsen gård to the treetop cabins. Here you can choose between short-traveled meat such as steak, minced meat or hamburgers - Perfect for preparing a good meal in the cabin. You can also order fresh eggs from the farm for breakfast.

At Faråsen, Ruben and Merete are keen to offer something more than just an overnight stay, but a complete experience on the farm and in nature. Therefore, each cabin is designed with a cozy child-friendly area around the cabin as well as a pond with rowing boats. All guests also have the opportunity to visit the farm and meet the farm animals such as lambs, bulls and calves, or pick your own eggs.
