Moosetrail of Aurskog

45 minutes outside Oslo by car, or accessible by public transportation in an hour, you can stay in this cozy igloo in Aurskog and have the forest all to yourself.

Spruce trees are dominating the vegetation, but the igloo is placed in an open landscape. You might just wake up to see a moose peacefully enjoying the sunrise, as this area has a high density of Norway’s national animal.

You will check in with the host at a farm close by, and from there have an easy walk of 15 minutes into the forest to find the igloo. The farm in which you check in is an alpaca farm, so if your heart beats for these fascinating animals, an alpaca walk can be a perfect activity to combine with a stay in the igloo.

Be aware that our igloos have no electricity or running water. This is a beautiful back to nature experience with the luxury of a hotel room. The wood stove is your heating source, and you’ll have unlimited amount of wood available, so keep it warm!
