Here, the boundaries between inside and outside are blurred with a 180-degree view and an accordion door that opens the entire front and turns the room into a part of nature.
 
Utpust is located in Lårdal in Telemark, which offers wild Norwegian nature and plenty of activities for those who want it!
With an integrated sauna, outdoor kitchen and outdoor shower, we have created a place that invites enjoyment, relaxed shoulders and peace of mind. A place where you can land, sit back and let the world go on without you for a little while.
 
Designed for peace and discretion
Our vision has been clear: to create a space where worries are eased as soon as you step over the threshold. Utpust is a state – a transition from everyday life to rest. Luxury in interaction with simplicity, comfort in the face of wild nature. A spectacular hotel room in the middle of nature with the soul of outdoor living; gas-powered outdoor kitchen, outdoor shower and outdoor toilet (private water toilet, but 20 meters from the unit)

Created by experience, desired by guests
After four years, six locations, and thousands of nights in our glass igloos, we’ve listened to every bit of feedback. The igloos hold a special place in the hearts of many of you, and are a showstopper of an experience. At the same time, we know that many of you long for even more comfort, warmth and luxury without losing your closeness to nature.
 
Through deep dives into guest insights, workshops with past guests, and collaboration with one of Norway’s leading architects, we have created something completely new. 
 
We have worked with architect Tina Hasaas from IBO architecture to realize our vision:
“It was important to build on Hvilepust’s values ​​– to be in harmony with nature in a simple, yet comfortable way.
An entire wall can be opened, so that inside and outside merge together. Here you get a warm refuge, while being close to nature with views in several directions. The colors in the surroundings have set the tone, and the building is kept in calm shades that provide a harmonious base. In a small space, we have created room for a big experience.“

Utpust is built primarily from environmentally friendly materials and is a portable unit. It therefore leaves a minimal footprint on nature, but is experienced as spectacular in its expression.
