In the beautiful nature of Dalsland, you will find Wood Wise Cabins, a minimalist glass house surrounded by forest, placed by itself near the clear water lake Krokvattnet. The roof and long sides are made of glass, giving you a completely nature-close experience around the clock. Here you can see the treetops, the starry sky, and the morning mist without leaving the bed.
The glass houses are designed by architect Jeanna Berger to provide maximum contact with nature with minimal impact on the surroundings. Research shows that 72 hours in a forest like this can reduce stress levels by up to 70%. The glass houses are therefore also called 72 hour cabins.
At Wood Wise Cabins, the forest is managed with biodiversity as a guiding principle, and you stay on a property rich in mosses, lichens, mushrooms, and birds. You come here to unwind, breathe, and find your way back to yourself.

“We are Heidi and Mats, and we live in the middle of our own 40-hectare forest in Dalsland. We bought the property to live close to nature and protect biodiversity, and we would like to share that experience with others. With us, it is the sounds of nature and the starry sky that frame the stay.”
