Two friends, an old log cabin in the forest and the slow island life on Møn. We just wanted to unwind from the daily grind, enjoy the beach and sun, and cook on the grill.
In June I travelled to Ulvshale on Møn with two good friends. A month earlier we had discovered Møn for the first time, and we love the slow pace that comes with island life.
The log cabin is a small, old cabin that quickly takes you back a decade or two. There are old DVDs you can watch on the little TV, or you can challenge your competitive side with a board game.
The cabin is privately situated in a cosy forest, but still close to the water and harbour, so you have everything you need nearby.
If you don't mind a little buzzing from nature, there's a great terrace with both a grill and a fireplace in front of the cabin. Here we enjoyed both breakfast and dinner with a view of nature and blue skies.
If you like running, it's worth bringing your trainers and running down to Ulvshale beach. You can also enjoy the day here with a little breakfast basket and then swing by the nearby flea markets and roadside stalls, which offer everything from antiques to fresh vegetables and great finds.
Møns Klint is also worth visiting if you have time. A long walk in the forest area and a trip down to the water is absolutely stunning.
