Lake Mjøsa and Konglehytta at Espa

A very short train ride from Oslo you reach Norway's largest lake Mjøsa. The surrounding areas have been important farmland for the country for centuries, as well as a strong inspiration for poetry and literature. This is home to the place where the constitution where put together at Eidsvoll, as well as the Olympic town of Hamar. You can stay at the epic glamping pods at Espa, and enjoy magnificent sunsets over the lake in comfort.

How to get there: 1h 10 min direct train from Oslo to Strandlykkja, with the Eleverum train. The train stop is 3 km from the accommodation at Mjøsli.

Embrace the forrest in Rakkestad

Rakkestad is a great area to experience the Norwegian countryside. The forest region nearby the mouth of the river Glomma is the perfect destination for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat. About 3 km into the forest and 4m up in the trees, you will find this magnificent treehouse dome. The shape of the dome makes it up to 70% more energy efficient than normal stays. Here you are close to several popular hiking destinations such as Linekleppen and Strømsfoss.

How to get there: Direct train from Oslo to Rakkestad (1h 9 min). The dome is around 7km from the train station.

Experience the valley of Gudbrandsdalen

Experience the heart of Gudbrandsdalen by staying in a panoramic dome overlooking the valley. How to get there: Train to Ringebu, 10 min south of the dome. The train runs from Oslo and Trondheim 4 times a day (3h train from Oslo, 4,5h from Trondheim).
