Set in the beautiful back country of Bornholm, between high grass fields, fruit and poplar trees, our yurt is a place to escape the busy, urban life and calm the soul.

Yurts are traditional, dwellings developed by east asian nomadic cultures. They have been in use for thousands of years, and their design does not only reflect a deep understanding of practical, sustainable, and mobile architecture suited to harsh environments, but also carries heavy symbolic meaning, like the center toono (crown) is often sacred, symbolizing sky and heaven.

Our yurt is set up with a crown window, that offers beautiful lighting during the day and magical night sky views. The light structure of the yurt allows you to listen to the sounds of the surrounding nature, while resting completely wind shielded and cosy. Our glamping-experience offers only basic equipment, making it the right place for those who like to reconnect with nature, but also want to enjoy more comfort than tent-life provides. Heating works with a traditional wood stove, which can also be used for cooking. Electricity is available and for simple meals you'll also find basic kitchen equipment in the yurt (water kettle, stove unit and electric lights). Daily, home-made breakfast will be served. For kitchen purposes and personal hygiene you will find a cold-water tank with drinking-water quality, ready to use. We offer fridge-use in the main-house adjacent barn. And an odour-free eco-toilet, build with love and respect for the environment, is set up behind the yurt.
