Hawaii Mobile Camp in Southern Norway is located in scenic surroundings with a view of Tovdalselva, which flows into Flaksvann. We have space for over 20 motorhomes.
We wanted more people to experience this gem in Southern Norway and chose to make arrangements for camper vans in the summer of 2018. We made plans to make arrangements for wc, shower and electricity, but we later chose to put that aside as the site is flooded with large amounts of rainfall . Danger of flooding outside summer time. There are many locals who use the area for walking, training, swimming etc. We have many hiking and cycling opportunities in Birkeland. Top tour map can be purchased at Best. From the Hawaii motorhome camp, the nice path "Elvestie" goes up along the river. About 500 meters up there is a gap hut with barbecue facilities, toilets, sand volleyball courts, suspension bridge with nice bathing facilities on both sides of the bridge. Beach on one side and ropeway on the other. At high water levels in the river, arrangements have been made to jump from the bridge, approx. 5.5 meters high. About 500 meters down along Tollenesveien we find a fenced dog park that can be used, and it is not far to the light track from here either. Pust&Pes, which is our local fitness center, is located at the entrance to Hawaii RV Camp. The fishing opportunities are good in the river, salmon cards can be bought at the Best petrol station in Birkeland (free for children). Salmon cards can be bought from mid-May at the Best petrol station, approx. 500 meters from here (towards Lillesand). Fishing begins on 1 June, day pass and week pass.
Feel free to visit the village's pleasant niche shop Marikken in the centre, it is located together with the Bakeriet and the Pharmacy. Otherwise, we have Nam Oi Grillmat, which has delicious take-away food (Tollenesveien 15, 5 min walk). In the center there are several hairdressers, grocery stores, Pizzabakeren and Happy Time etc.
