Accommodation description
Here you can fish, row in a boat / canoe, enjoy the hot tub and sauna. You can also use the barbecue hut if the weather is not nice, or you want to find shade in the summer. The cabin is 18 square meters and is located on a platform between 3 rough pines out on a tiny idyllic island in a forest lake. The stairs from the forest floor lead up to a beautiful veranda between the treetops and further into the Øy-Hytta itself. The cottage has a great degree of comfort and is practically furnished. In the living room there is a table, bench, chairs and a sofa corner that can be converted into a double bed. The kitchen has a 90 cm Gaggenau gas stop with 5 gas burners, refrigerator powered by solar power and a 12v pump that provides water in the tap. There are cups and vessels so that it is possible to make a master's meal. We deliver drinking water in plastic jugs, while rainwater or water from Bervannet is used as washing water. A small staircase leads up to the loft where there are 3 beds, each with its own small window. The hammock can also be used as a sleeping area or for an afternoon nap. In total, Øy-Hytta has 5 beds + hammock. It also has 12v electricity with lights on the outdoor toilet, woodshed, laundry room and kitchen. The flames from the wood-burning stove also give a cozy flickering light when you crawl to bed, because here you have to burn wood to keep warm in the cold season. In the same way as in the old days, we have an outdoor toilet and woodshed down on the forest floor next to the cottage. Also while sitting on the toilet has a view over Bervannet, and in the woodshed are some pieces of plank and small nails so you can carve a bird box and take home. The veranda outside Øy Hytta is a favorite living area with a great view of Bervannet and the surrounding forests. If you sit still, you may be lucky enough to observe some of the rich wildlife. A beaver family lives in Bervannet and it also happens that moose, deer and roe deer appear. Cranes have been observed on several occasions. Ducks, geese and swans are a common sight. On the veranda we feed small birds all year round, and especially in winter there is a bustling life on the bird feeder. Down on the ground on the "land side" there is a fire place with tables and benches, ideal for bonfires and barbecues. There is also a hot tub and a sauna that can be rented at an additional cost. If you are interested in fishing, it is allowed to try brook trout and trout that are found in Bervannet.

Secret tip
At the very bottom of the water you will find the Love Bench, a stone bench made by nature itself. The story goes that if you sit with your loved one on the Love bench with your legs in the water at sunset, well then you are both married and have children within a year is over.
