Welcome to our traditional cabin at Blefjell with easy access to Blefjell's groomed trail network as well as hikes on your own in fantastic nature, a 40-minute drive from Kongsberg through beautiful Numedalen. Here you can sit in the sun wall and gaze up the slope towards the Ble plateau and see hare tracks - or the hare itself, if you are lucky - or for that matter also experience the capercaillies in the treetops below the cabin. The cabin is located freely and openly on the slope above Bjørstuguveien, with no neighbors above and a great view towards Norefjell. We have a path to the wall with parking right outside the door. The cabin is 70 sqm and was built in the early 1960s. We have tried to retain as much of the original style as possible, including original Krognes furniture and a kitchen with traditional upper cabinets. Among the innovations in recent years, we can mention running water (hot and cold), a new shower, upgraded stove and oven, a TV with Chromecast, and wireless Internet with Wi-Fi. The cabin does not have a modern toilet. The toilet is technically an outdoor toilet, but with access directly from the entrance hall.
There are 6 sleeping places with the possibility of one extra place on the sofa in the living room.
Great hiking terrain both winter and summer. Feel free to take a trip up to Strutåsen, the newly opened dining place a short half-hour ski trip away, or a walk to Blestua - or sit in the sun wall and enjoy yourselves. If it gets too hot, it is possible to connect the outdoor shower. If you order access to this, the shower will be set up and explained upon takeover.
Hand towels and dish towels are included in the price. Guests must bring their own bed linen and bath towels.

I am an active and outdoor-interested retiree, living in Drammen. Previously, I worked as an art and expression therapist, among other places at Modum Bad. I enjoy both skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer. In my youth, I skied several times from Finse, across Hardangervidda and down to my parents' cabin at Blefjell. I inherited that cabin in 1990 and since then I have tried to maintain the original cabin atmosphere.
