Prepare for a close to nature and "back to basics" experience in these beautiful and comfortable "off grid" mini-cabin, without giving up on comfort and atmosphere.
This is simple yet genuine wilderness accommodation, without electricity or running water. Heating is substituted by a wood-fired stove and light comes from numerous candles.
- Self household. The cabin is equipped with a kitchenette where you can prepare food. Here you can heat and fry (there is no oven) and it is perfect for pasta-dishes or similar. Avoid food items that produce a lot of fumes (such as bacon).
- Composting toilet a short walk from the cabin.
- Beds are comfortable. Ideal for 2 persons, with possibility for an extra bed. Max capacity is 3 persons.
The area is tranquil and peaceful with Beitostølen (6,5 kms) being the closest town with all facilities and a wide offer of shops and restaurants. Summer and Autumn it´s possible to walk or cycle to town on a gravel road shortening the distance by 3 kms.
Activities summertime: Rent a canoe or kayak for a beautiful tour on the lake. Possibilities in the area for bathing, swimming, fishing (regulations apply), activities with our huskies, renting a motor boat, horseback riding, hiking, Via Ferrata, pack-rafting and mountain bike trails.

Location
From Beitovegen, you drive down a gravel road for 800m, 20m after the dogyard, you will find the parking for the cabins on the left. From there it is a short walk to the cabin, through the forest. In periods the access may be a little slippery. Unfortunately, the cabin is per today not adapted to wheel chair users, but we are working on that.
