Treetop Cabin — 8 meters above the ground by Storsjøen

Do you dream of sleeping in the trees, surrounded by Norwegian primeval forest atmosphere and with lake views right outside the terrace? Trollhetta is a unique treetop cabin that hovers 8 meters above the ground in the taiga forest by Storsjøen. Just one hour from Oslo.

The cabin is 40 m² and has everything you need for a memorable nature experience: a fully equipped kitchen, a wood stove, an electric oven, and a large terrace of 30 m² with a fire pit and seating for the whole group. Upstairs in the loft awaits a made-up double bed, while the sofa bed downstairs provides space for additional guests. The cabin accommodates up to 8 people.

From the cabin, you hear only birds and the wind in the trees. Here you can experience squirrels, deer, moose, and foxes up close in the boreal coniferous forest belt, which is the Earth's largest carbon reservoir.

Included in the stay: access to a floating dock, canoe, rowboat, and pedal boat. Kayaks (4 pcs) are available for 250 kr each for the entire stay.

Practical: road all the way to the cabin, free parking, a 24-hour shop 7 km away (Slåstad), and all facilities in Skarnes 7 km away, including a train station, Vinmonopol, and grocery stores. SIAP water ski facility and paintball only 6 km away.

There is no running water in the cabin, but there will be plenty of water available.
