Forbord Dome, an exclusive glamping experience with fantastic views in the heart of nature.

"Forbord Dome" is an exclusive glamping experience for two people in the heart of nature. You can sleep under the stars, enjoy the panoramic view over Trondheimsfjorden, catch a magical sunset, or see the amazing northern lights if you are lucky. The dome is a spacious 23 square meters with a window in the ceiling and at the front, and it is located on a two-level terrace with a seating area and fire pit.

There are many great hiking opportunities in the area, how about a hike to the top of "Forbordsfjellet"?

The dome is about 10 minutes from Trondheim Airport Værnes in Stjørdal and about 40 minutes from Trondheim. From the parking lot, you have to walk a somewhat steep forest road up to the dome.

The dome is placed by itself on the slope towards "Forbordsfjellet", about 300 meters above sea level. There are two parking options, and the distance from parking to the dome is from 450 meters depending on parking/route. You walk on a somewhat steep forest road from the parking lot to reach the dome. There are 150 meters of elevation gain from the farm to the dome, but only 75 meters from the nearest parking (toll road).

Inside the dome, there is a made-up king-size double bed and a seating area for two people.

There is good heating in the dome (wood stove/diesel heater), but we recommend bringing warm clothes on cold days.

You do not need to go outside the dome to use the toilet, it has its own room with a toilet.

You are welcome to bring a dog or other pets, but due to allergies, we prefer that they stay outdoors. If they are to be inside the dome, we charge an extra cleaning fee. We have a great dog house right outside the dome.

There are 10 liters of drinking water in the dome upon arrival, otherwise limited access to clean drinking water. You also have access to a camping stove and two pots for simple cooking. Remember that the use of the camping stove must take place outdoors. There is also a grill grate for the fire pit that can be used for grilling. Free access to tea and coffee.

There are shower facilities down at the farm.

We can also offer our guests something extra for the overnight stay, namely a cheese platter or a platter with cured meats for two people. If you are staying multiple nights, please contact us to arrange when you would like the cheese platter. Normally it is ready in the dome upon arrival.

It goes steeply down in front of the dome, so we ask that you do not cross the ropes that are set up as barriers.

Phones can be charged in a separate USB outlet. Charging cables without plugs must be brought along.
