Forbord Dome, en eksklusiv glampingopplevelse med fantastisk utsikt i hjertet av naturen.

"Forbord Dome" is an exclusive glamping experience for two people in the heart of nature. You can sleep under the stars, enjoy the panoramic view of the Trondheimsfjord, catch a magical sunset or see the amazing northern lights if you are lucky. The dome is a full 23 square meters with windows in the roof and in the front and it is located on a terrace on two levels with a seating area and a fire pit.

There are many great hiking opportunities in the area, how about a trip to the top of "Forbordsfjellet"?

The dome is located approx. 10 min from Trondheim Airport Værnes in Stjørdal and approx. 40 min. from Trondheim. From the parking lot you have to walk a partly steep forest road up to the dome.

The dome is located by itself on the slope up to "Forbordsfjellet", approx. 300 m above sea level. There are two parking options and the distance from parking to the dome is from 450 meters depending on parking/route. You walk on a somewhat steep forest road from the parking lot to get all the way to the dome. It is 150 meters of elevation gain from the farm to the Dome, but only 75 meters of elevation gain from the nearest parking lot (toll road).

In the dome there is a fully made-up king-size double bed and a seating area for two people.

There is good heating in the dome (wood stove/diesel heater), but we recommend bringing warm clothes on cold days.

You do not need to leave the dome to go to the bathroom, it has a separate room with a toilet.

You are welcome to bring dogs or other pets, but due to allergies we prefer that they stay outdoors. If they are going to be inside the dome, we charge an extra cleaning fee. We have a great dog house right outside the dome.

There is 10 liters of drinking water in the dome upon arrival, otherwise there is little access to clean drinking water. You also have access to a primus stove and two saucepans for simple cooking. Remember that the primus stove must be used outdoors. There is also a grill grate for the fire pit that can be used for grilling. Free access to tea and coffee.

There are shower facilities down on the farm.

We can also offer our guests something extra for the night, namely a cheese platter or a platter of cured meats for two people. If you are staying several nights, please contact us to arrange when you will have the cheese platter. It is normally ready in the dome upon arrival.

It goes down steeply in front of the dome so we ask that you do not cross the ropes that have been set up as a barrier.

Phones can be charged in their own USB outlet. A charging cable without a plug must be brought with you.
