Rocky Point Hut, romantic & adventurous getaway

Take a beautiful walk over Pepin Island and enjoy the phenomenal scenery of Cable Bay and Tasman bay along the way. Nestled amongst native kanuka and coastal New Zealand bush, situated on a cliff is Rocky Point Hut. Stay some nights in the beautiful and private hut with a comfortable wood interior and take in all the incredible views. Spend your time relaxing and treat yourself in the hot outdoor bath with a panoramic view over the Abel Tasman ocean. The perfect setting for a romantic retreat.

The space
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY

What is included:
- Double bed
- Solar hot water bath (please note that in rainy weeks, the hot water is limited)
- BBQ and gas cooker
- Powered chilly bin
- Outdoor seating areas
- Kitchen and cooking essentials
- Bedding and towels
- Tea & coffee
- Over winter, it can be chilly and there is limited heating options but we make sure there is plenty of warm bedding and hot water bottles!

Requirements:
- Medium-hard walk 1-2 hours
- Adults only
- Sleeps two
- Supply your own food - however there are options below for food services (with further costs and advanced notice. Prices on enquiry)
Food services:
- Grocery order. Just send us your detailed list and we will have the groceries up at the hut ready for your arrival.
- Cheese assortment platter
- Light breakfast, providing muesli, milk, yoghurt and some seasonal fruit. This will be set up at the hut for when you arrive.

Rocky Point has a minimum 2night year round, however you may be able to enquire in for one night on weekdays. We also have two other unique huts under different listings, Passage Hut and Nikau Hut.

Farm tour package includes:
- 4WD tour around the Island
- Dog demonstration in mustering sheep
- Sheep shearing
- Morning tea
- Price on enquiry

If you want a lift to the hut, we have 4WD lift options available. This costs $40 for a one-way trip.

A certain degree of fitness is required as there are very steep hills.

Guest access
We have 3 huts on the Island and they all are very private and in significant distance apart from one another. We ask that you do not explore more of the Island than what is mentioned on the map for the sake of other guests privacy in the other huts. Further explanation will be provided on arrival.

Other things to note
Just another reminder, that it is approximately a 90 min walk with a few steep hills.
You must bring:
- Appropriate footwear
- Food unless you've chosen to have groceries delivered
- Personal clothing
- Warm clothing
- Rain jacket

*Huts are closed in September to mid October due to lambing season.
