Camping spot description
We offer space for motorhomes and tents in a natural, peaceful and silent environment. We respect people, animals and nature. Outside, in the shared areas, we offer: a dry bathroom with hot shower, shared kitchen, our organic garden - where you can harvest whatever is available to prepare your meals -, a small swimming pool that delights the kids and adults, an area for the little ones and all the space to disconnect from everyday life, relax and meditate. At Lugar do Sol we live in an ecological, sustainable and self-sufficient way, energy comes from the sun, water comes from our well, we have a biological garden and we produce cosmetics and natural detergents in an artisanal way. If you feel a strong connection to Nature, if you are looking for a place of harmony and sharing among all those who want to leave a little bit of themselves, come and visit us! We hope that you can contribute to the maintenance of this space in Nature, as it is very important for everyone to take care of their own shelter, but also of the shared areas.

Sustainable and environmentally friendly stay on a small farm in Casal dos Feros, a quiet and rural location just under two kilometers from Santa Cruz beach. There is an added feel-good factor to those staying at Lugar Do Sol, the stays are in a natural retreat offering a peaceful retreat well away from the noise of the city and yet within walking/biking distance of the beaches of the West . At Lugar do Sol we live ecologically, sustainably and self-sufficiently – water comes from a well, energy is generated by solar panels and food is harvested from the organic garden. Guests can help themselves to some of what is available in the food grove and take it to the covered outdoor kitchen, which is equipped with an oven, stove and all utensils for cooking, as well as a table to eat your meal. There are many shops, cafes and restaurants for those times when you prefer to eat out. Dry (compost) toilet and hot shower with solar heating are available for everyone. For a little rest there is also a swimming pool, a small play area and hammocks slung between the trees for a lovely shaded siesta. The closest is Praia de Santa Cruz, about 10 minutes by bike/25 minutes on foot. The long sandy beach is great for walking, sunbathing and surfing, but the waves can be too strong for many swimmers. If you're looking for calmer waters, head a little north to Praia de Porto Novo (10 minutes by car/20 minutes by bike), which is a more sheltered spot for swimming, paddleboarding and canoeing. If, on the other hand, you are looking for more adrenaline, you can take a paragliding flight over the cliffs of Praia de Santa Rita (10 minutes by car / 20 minutes by cycle), go climbing on the cliffs of Maceira or take a first flight in an airplane at the Santa Cruz Airfield (five minutes by car or bicycle). To broaden your horizons a little further, it is possible to organize day trips to places such as Sintra and Lisbon (both around an hour's drive away), visit the castle and churches of medieval Óbidos (45 minutes) or visit the wine cellars. from the zone (several within a half hour drive).
