Camping spot description
In camping, in our tents, or in our visitors' tents, 40 people can stay overnight. It is possible to park four caravans or motorhomes. A communal kitchen with electric stoves, grills and microwaves, an area for washing dishes and clothes, changing rooms with hot water and electricity, provide support for the camping and caravanning area. A small bar also serves all users or visitors. A small auditorium, dining tables and a living space with Wi-Fi are other visitor resources. A protocol with a local restaurant guarantees excellent meals at attractive prices, served in Colinas do Tejo or in the restaurant located in Mouriscas. Upon prior request, we guarantee basic foodstuffs to support the stay of visitors.

Secret tip
Try tree climbing and geocaching and join the olives campaign, which usually takes place in November. So far we have carried out seven olive campaigns, involving national and foreign visitors, with whom we share the experience, also visiting the mill and the iconic millenary olive tree of Mouchão, the oldest tree in Portugal, with 3350 years.

Abrantes, PortugalMeet João Gouveia
Your host 5.0"Colinas do Tejo", located in Cascalhos, parish of Mouriscas, on the right bank of the Tagus, about 9 km upstream from Abrantes, is the name of a small farm, forested with centenary olive trees, cork oaks, fig trees, citrus and horticultural and aromatic herbs, to which are added, on the private river beach, ash, lodão and willow trees. In addition to agriculture and forestry, without resorting to synthetic products, economic activities include the accommodation of visitors in wooden houses, camping and caravanning, the construction and reconstruction of traditional Tagus boats and kayaks, the organization of hikes, mountain biking and kayaking, tree climbing, bird and mammal observation, organization of events, study visits, "pedagogical trails" and actions to defend and conserve the natural heritage.
