Pitch your tent in one of our three separate pitches, sit back and enjoy the views. Each pitch is big enough for one large tent and one smaller tent, so children can have their own tent or friends can camp together.

At each pitch there is a fire pit with wood and kindling available to buy. Loos, showers, washing up facilities, rubbish and recycling are all just a short walk away in the orchard. Our award winning farm produce and other essentials are also for sale.

From the campsite you can take a short walk around the farm, a longer walk in the surrounding countryside or set of for trips to the coast, local towns such as Shaftesbury, Sherborne and Dorchester or simply sit back, relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Dorset countryside.

Welcome to the 40 acres of organic fields and rustic charm that make Haddon Copse Farm. The farm offers natural camping in the heart of Blackmore Vale, just outside of Sturminster Newton in Dorset. With just a few pitches and glamping tents, the Haddon Copse farm is quiet, spacious and a green haven for campers looking to unwind in nature. 

Camping at Haddon Copse Farm
The farm has three separate grass pitches available for tent campers on a vehicle-free field. Each pitch is large enough for one big tent and a smaller tent so that children can set up their own tent or friends can camp together. Each pitch has access to its fire pit and plenty of space for campers to make themselves comfortable.

Glamping bell tents
Don’t worry if you’re not bringing your own tent – Haddon Copse Farm offers bell tents pitched and fully equipped and waiting for you. Four comfortable bell tents on large plots are all outfitted with four comfy, organic mattresses (do bring your own bedding). For cooking, a tripod and grill are set up at the fire pit.

Glamping at the Retreat Hut
For an extra comfy sleep, try the Retreat Hut with a double sofa bed and organic bedding. Equipped with everything you need, the little hut hidden in an orchard on the farm offers a premium glamping experience. Fresh farm products are delivered to your doorstep every morning at the outdoor kitchen with a gas stove, fridge, and kitchen utensils.   

Facilities available to campers at Haddon Copse Farm
Guests at Haddon Copse Farm have access to toilets and solar-powered showers in the orchard adjacent to the campsite. Sinks for washing up and drinking water are available here too. A freezer is provided for ice. Also available are organic goods from the farm. Haddon Copse Farm produces award-winning meats. Chicken, lamb, pork, and sausages can be bought and local milk, freshly baked bread, fresh eggs, and creamy butter can be ordered the night before to be brought to you in the morning. 

What to do at and around Haddon Copse Farm
In summer, hugely popular and well-attended pop-up dining evenings are organized at the farm. But not just summer is fun a the farm, as courses, events, and retreats are organized throughout the year – ranging from art to yoga.

The surrounding countryside begs to be explored, not in the least because they are in plain view from everywhere on the campsite. Longer hikes take you to the coast or local towns like Dorchester, Shaftesbury, and Sherborne.

Explore the narrow lanes and fords, walk in the footsteps of Thomas Hardy and his characters on the Dorset Downs, swim in the River Stour, climb the prehistoric hill fort at Hambeldon Hill, enjoy Dorset food and drink in lovely local pubs.

      3. No vehicles on the campsite field

      5. No recorded music (including radios) to be played on the site at any time
      6. No groups
      7. This is a small, quiet site and to maintain this, we limit the number of people on the site. Visitors to your pitch in addition to those you have booked for are by prior arrangement only. 
      8. Quiet hours must be respected between 11 pm and 7 am
      9. If you are booking a bell tent, mattresses are included but you must bring your own bedding, towels, tables, chairs and all camping equipment. 
      
      Cancellation Policy
      1. All deposits are non-refundable.
      2. No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
      3. No refunds within 10 days of arrival date but if we are able to re let your pitch we will refund the balance payment.
