Functional and robust with a delicate taste of Nordic design

The igloo(s) are furnished functionally and robustly, while you will experience a delicate taste of Nordic design. Our interior designers Ugne Jurksaityte and Miriam Debora Lindqvist have done a phenomenal job combining flexible solutions that provide you comfort and relaxation both during the day, evening, and night.

There is no running water or electricity in the igloo, but don’t despair — we ensure that you have a 5-liter jug of drinking water available and a spacious outdoor toilet. We have received help from the carpenters at Lille Snekkeri to design and create the toilet solution to make the experience as good as possible. You should prepare for the toilet being outdoors, which for some may become a new, but all the more memorable experience.

When you arrive at the igloo, you will experience a cozy and airy atmosphere where you can settle down and enjoy the nature you suddenly find yourself in and are a part of. With a small seating area, a sofa, and a bench, you can sit, lie down, and relax comfortably in several ways.

The atmosphere of the interior is inspired by nature with its colors and textures. It was important for us to create an atmosphere where guests can find inner peace. Therefore, we have drawn inspiration from Japanese style, which gives a sense of zen, combined with robust, comfortable, and flexible furniture so that the experience can be enjoyed both during the day and at night.

In the bench, you will find various items that may come in handy. The list includes mosquito repellent, wet wipes, a corkscrew, disposable glasses, a flashlight, a shovel, and a thermos. Additionally, you will find a drawer with made-up duvets and pillows. The bench can serve as a bed for two children if you unfold the futon mattresses that are on top. The seating group and sofa are from the Danish brand Karup Design. They specialize in multifunctional furniture, so when it’s time to go to bed and look at the starry sky, you can easily unfold the sofa into a 140cm wide double bed. The chairs can be folded up and taken outside if you wish.

The igloo is 5 meters in diameter and 240cm at its highest point. It has a ventilation hatch and a wood stove, so it can easily be heated on cold days. The igloo is equipped with blinds that can be pulled up to about one and a half meters if needed.

Outdoor life is a key word for our guests. Therefore, we have also arranged areas outside the igloo where you can enjoy the tranquility of the forest. Here, there are variations depending on the location you will be staying at, from hammocks and stumps to fire pits and campfire areas. The goal is that you will be able to enjoy outdoor time just as much as indoor time during your visit to the igloo.
