Accommodation description
About this place
Our tiny home is located on Azaltie, an 11 acre property in Kangaroo Valley. It is secluded and peaceful with the sound of the bush and songs from the birds. Come and enjoy a peaceful and quiet night with us. Our night sky is stunning, majestic and crystal clear!
Kangaroo Valley is Australia's most beautiful valley with a tranquil river, rich green pastures, abundant wildlife, enchanting wilderness, a spectacular escarpment, a friendly community and a delightful village.

The space
The tiny house offers guests a comfortable stay with its well-equipped kitchenette, hot showers, a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, complete with air-conditioning and heating. There is a queen sized bed up in the loft and a sofa bed on the ground floor, which can be opened up to a double bed size. It can sleep 2 adults (in the loft) and 1 child (on the sofa bed) comfortably. You will need to climb stairs to get to the loft.

The Kangaroo River Nature Reserve is just next to our property and it has beautiful walking trails through creek beds down to the main Kangaroo River. Our property has an abundance of gorgeous scribbly gum trees which provide habitat for many Australian birds and our resident Kingfishers. It is also a special habitat for native wildlife including kangaroos, wombats, echidnas, possums, goannas, frogs and wallabies.

This tiny home is managed by the people at Tiny Away. Tiny Away integrates the concept of tiny houses with eco-tourism. It stems from our desire to allow everyone a chance to experience tiny living in the midst of nature yet be able to stay in comfort.

        Activities and potential wildlife
We have got both BBQ and outdoor fire pit. Guests are welcome to use the gas BBQ. Please make sure you turn it and the gas bottle off after use. We have a couple of very cute resident BBQ frogs so don't be alarmed if they jump out and say hi when uncovering the BBQ. We do not have a hot plate or grill that goes with the fire pit. We are 1.5 km to Hampton Bridge and under the bridge is a really lovely swimming hole in the Kangaroo River that you access from the car park near the caravan park. We are of opinion everywhere you go in Kangaroo Valley, you get beautiful views! But for a view of the coast guest can drive up to Cambewarra lookout or can get views back into kangaroo valley from Fitzroy falls. On the property, you can see lots of kangaroos and some resident wombats come out at dusk. You will be able to spot some ducks at the dam too.
