Welcome to The Wollombi Wanderer!
This 4-acre property backs onto a beautiful flowing river at the bottom of the mountain. You will have complete private access to the river where you can throw a fishing line out or simply sit by the river and watch the ducks and geese that live down there. There are beautiful blue gums in the middle of it and the majority is a clear open space. It is common for several mobs of bouncing Kangaroos to be on the property. Don’t worry, they stick to themselves.

Tiny home sits at the back of the property, 10 meters away from the private river and overlooks the mountain with cow pastures at the bottom.

We have a resident wombat called "Wally". His burrow is in between the blue gums in the middle of the property. He is quite active but we ask no one feeds him. Wally the wombat is very friendly and keeps to himself.

The space
Our tiny house is a lovely studio space of 155 sqft. It offers guests a comfortable stay with its well-equipped kitchenette, complete with a queen sized bed, ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning and heating. Perfect for 2 persons!

The kitchenette has everything you need to cook your light meals with. A portable cooker, cookware, cooking utensils, cutlery, dishes & silverware, microwave and even a mini fridge. The portable cooker can be kept in the drawers when not in use to maximise space.

Our bathroom facilities follow ecologically sustainable principles, including a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin and shower (gas heated for hot showers). In Australia's severe climatic challenge of bush fires and drought, we help to save the environment by conserving water using an eco-friendly toilet. Wastes are broken down in the compost toilet via an aerobic decomposition process. It is a waterless system (no need to flush!), whereas a standard dual flush toilet would use up to 350L of water per week. An aeration fan helps in the decomposition process and minimises odours.

If you're using your own soap, shampoo, tooth paste, we ask that you bring biodegradable ones so that the grey water runoff does not harm the environment. Thank you!

Guest access
Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surroundings. There are no restrictions as we want the guests to get the full experience of the property close by the beautiful bush walks. We own the river at the back so take a kayak down.

Other things to note
– Pets are allowed however smaller dogs are preferred. Pet bowls and toys are provided
– Please inform host prior to arrival if you are bringing a pet
– Firewood is at $20 per serve
– Good mobile reception for Optus and Telstra
