Glamping on beautiful Ærø
Here, time stands completely still – so still that you can hear yourself. The most natural thing here is to take your time and use it to enjoy nature and each other. Breathe deeply and let your shoulders drop. The glamping tents are all beautifully located and cozily decorated in neutral and natural colors. In addition, you have a view over the South Funen Archipelago, with a small lake in the 'backyard'.
During your stay, you have access to a fully equipped covered outdoor kitchen, with a wood-fired pizza oven, gas stove, refrigerator and freezer, wood-fired hot tub & sauna, compost toilet with the most beautiful view over the South Funen Archipelago, cold & hot outdoor shower, large shared terrace by the lake, free petting of the goats, fresh eggs from the chicken coop, firewood, the common room tipis with tables and benches, games, pétanque court with probably the best location in the whole country, electricity and water are available in the common area.
When booking a kayak and/or SUP, the place and time will be agreed upon upon arrival at the site. Kayaking and SUP take place on the beach in Marstal aka EriksHale. There are a couple of SUPs by the lake that can be played with freely.
Note: In week 29, from July 17-19, 2026, there is the Ø-Havet Festival in Marstal on Ærø in the beautiful South Funen Archipelago.
At Teglværkspladsen, we offer festival camping for guests in their own tents and therefore lower our glamping tents by 20% as the site will look a bit different than usual, so if you are up for a mini festival atmosphere in glamping style, now is the time to act. The festival itself is at the harbor in Marstal about 2 km from the site. You can read more about the festival here: www.oehavet.dk

Many appreciate the warm hospitality of the host and the enjoyable atmosphere of the site. However, some guests expressed concerns about limited facilities and a lack of comfort that did not meet their expectations for a glamping experience.

We had looked forward to a stay with a good combination of nature and comfort, but instead experienced something that resembled more of a discount campsite than the promised glamping. The facilities were very limited, and you had to manage most things yourself. The communal kitchen was often overcrowded, making it difficult to prepare food and find space for storage in the small refrigerator, which could barely hold basic necessities. There was no proper introduction upon arrival – you have to find your tent yourself using a note in the kitchen. Unfortunately, we also hit a period of heavy rain, and the tent was not completely waterproof, so some of our clothes got wet. Additionally, there is no heating in the tent, so it gets very cold at night. The tent was otherwise beautifully and peacefully located, and the surroundings definitely have potential. But that does not change the fact that the most basic facilities did not live up to what one can reasonably expect from a glamping stay – especially not at that price. Everything appears much more appealing in the pictures than in reality. Unless you are prepared for very primitive conditions and do not need comfort, we unfortunately have to advise against this place. It resembles more of a scout trip than glamping.

We had a wonderful stay! The tent was both cozy and comfortable, and it was fantastic to be close to nature without compromising on convenience. A truly relaxing and different experience. We would love to come again!
