Escape the city and go to your own deserted island! Try primitive and simple living! Explore the wilderness, the saved native forest and the lake! Enjoy silent days and nights, fish, pick mushrooms, berries and make your own food on the woodfired stove or on the bonfire. Make your own firewood and do bushcraft. Be alone in wilderness. (even if it is not so far away from the farm) It is set for an adventure!
You rent the whole islet and the big tipi. A rowing boat and life vests are included for the whole stay. The tipi is big and has several simple beds/matrasses, a gas cooker, and woodburning stove for heating and cooking. The tipi contains mostly all you need for an adventure and “surviving” in the wilderness. The lake is drinking water, so you can drink the water. Just don’t do cleaning and getting drinking water from the same spot.
The toilet is a fallen tree, with a compost toilet box behind. Just so you know! It is simple, but no problem to use. This is a wilderness-experience!
This is what you need to bring: waterproof shoes, warm clothes, gas, candles, camp light, matches, toilet paper, sleeping bags and food. If you do not have sleeping bags, you can rent one and an “inner sheet” from the farm. You can also rent fishing gear. As an extra thing to do, you can rent a toolbox containing tools for woodworking. If you are going to rent something, I need to know before you arrive.
Before you leave the tipi, make shore that it is clean and tidy, and most important, all textiles must be hung up! This is semi-outside, so it can be moist sometimes, and small animals can get in, this is why. It is also very important that you close properly and lock it the same way as it was.
If you stay for more than 1 night, there will be a 20% discount for the following nights! The discount will automatically be added to the booking.
Important thing to know: In Norway it is not allowed to cut in living trees in the wild. Living trees must not be harmed. Be kind and respectful to the nature!
