Ertehaugen is located in Hafsrød, which is one of Østfold's largest forest properties. Hafsrød operates nature-based tourism and is Green Key certified. We offer rental of cabins that were formerly forest workers' homes, and offer slow experiences in green surroundings. The property is currently run by the fifth generation, Ingeborg and Andreas, who live on the Hafsrød farm about 2.5 kilometers from the cabin.

Ertehaugen is a former small farm located right on the waterfront of Lake Store Erte. Near the cabin you will find both the Fuglen and Ømyr nature reserves, as well as tourist destinations such as Nansen Hotell. This is part of what is called Ankerfjella, which is a very scenic area with few people, little light pollution and beautiful silence.

The cabin was completely renovated in 2023, and has both water and electricity. Here you also get 3 canoes and life jackets included in the rent, as well as firewood and electricity.
