Welcome to Ramstadbu – a cozy and spacious cabin idyllically located by the beautiful Ramstadsjøen, surrounded by forest, mountains, and serene nature. Here you can enjoy true Norwegian cabin coziness by the water, just one hour from Trondheim.

The cabin is secluded with nature close by, making it perfect for families or small groups looking for some peaceful days together – with hikes in the forest, morning swims in the water, and pleasant evenings by the fireplace.

Cleaning is included, so you can relax from the very start.

Space for up to 8 people

The cabin has four bedrooms spread over two floors and plenty of space for both togetherness and tranquility.

• Two bedrooms with double beds (160 cm)
• Two bedrooms with family bunk beds (120 cm + 75 cm)
• New year-round duvets and bedding in Egyptian cotton
• Towels are ready on the beds upon arrival

The beds are good and comfortable, so everyone can wake up rested after a day outdoors.

Large terrace and good outdoor areas

The spacious terrace provides great outdoor spaces throughout the day, whether you want to enjoy your morning coffee in the sun or gather around the fire pit in the evening.

Nature and activities right outside the door

From the cabin, it is a short walk down to Ramstadsjøen – a calm and shallow water perfect for swimming, paddling, and peaceful mornings by the water's edge.

The area offers great hiking opportunities in the forest and mountains year-round. Here you can walk on marked trails, pick berries and mushrooms in the fall, or enjoy long summer days by the water. It is also not uncommon to see moose or other wildlife in the forest around the cabin.

The cabin is also well-suited for peaceful midweek stays – perfect for a few days of hiking in the forest, a morning swim in the water, and cozy evenings by the fireplace.

Easy to get to

• About 1 hour from Trondheim
• 20 minutes to Støren center

- A good starting point for day trips to Røros and Oppdal
• Year-round road and parking right outside the cabin

Ramstadbu is a place where the pace slows down – where days can start with coffee on the terrace and a view of the water, and end with cozy fireplace moments after a day outdoors in nature.

Pets

Up to two dogs are welcome by arrangement.

We ask that the following rules are followed:

• Dog must be booked in advance (a small additional fee may apply)
• Dog must not be on furniture or beds
• Dog must not be left alone loose in the cabin
• Dog waste must be picked up on the property

Practical information

• Please do not wear outdoor shoes inside the cabin
• The cabin is a place for peace and nature experiences – parties are therefore not allowed
