Visit us in the mountains, at nearly 1100 meters above sea level, and find peace in your soul. Hyggebui is the smallest gem in our mountain paradise.

Enjoy fantastic views, go hiking (on skis or with snowshoes in winter) and finish with a lovely bath in Tyin. In winter, for the most adventurous, there are also periods when ice bathing is possible! Afterwards, you can relax in the sauna (extra cost).

Bring your favorite book, lean back, and recharge in this beautiful nature that surrounds you.

Welcome to Tyin and "Hyggebui". Welcome to our most intimate cabin, but perhaps also the most charming of them all.

The small cabin has everything you need for a relaxing experience, whether it’s for one, two, or three nights. Here you will find a comfortable double bed, nicely made up with soft bedding for extra comfort (included in the price), a simple kitchenette, and a cozy sitting area. Enjoy a cup of coffee or hot chocolate made on the capsule machine from Costa Coffee.

Here you have a simple kitchenette with the essentials for cooking, but no running water. The cabin has electric heating, and even on cold days, you won’t have to freeze.

Toilets, showers, dishwashing facilities, and water can be found about 70 meters (100 steps) away in the basement of the main house, shared by all our cabins.

Tyinstølen is the perfect place for hiking and cycling in summer, skiing in winter, and with a range of options for fishing. The area around is great for both cross-country skiing and rando - you can put on your skis right at the doorstep! About 20 minutes away is a ski center with several slopes and ski rentals.

The cabin is located at Tyin with many popular hikes in the area. Famous areas nearby are Filefjell and Eidsbugarden/Fondsbu with unlimited hiking opportunities. One of the more famous peaks near the cabin is Tyinstølsnosi, and there are several shorter hikes as well.

The nearest grocery store is in Tyin, about 20 minutes away by car. (Joker Tyinkrysset, open every day - closes at 6 PM) About 30 minutes by car you will find Øvre Årdal with a small shopping center (open Monday - Saturday, closes at 11 PM) and a nice trip to Vettisfossen.

Vettisfossen is a very popular sight, about 45 minutes by car to the starting point for the hike - which takes from 1.5 hours (depending on your speed).

Old Lærdalsøyri (about 1 hour drive) is on UNESCO's World Heritage List, and Øvre Årdal (about 35 minutes drive) offers opportunities for some shopping.
