The area is extremely beautiful. The experience with a mountain farm in use is unforgettable: the mountains, the people, and the animals do something with you. We have had guests from all over the world. The feedback is unambiguous, from Americans, Norwegians, British, Chinese, French, Germans, Australians, and Canadians: it is a relief to experience the power of the simple! The cabin is small and cozy, high roofed, and rich in charm. Have you ever just sat down and listened to the silence? Here you have the chance.

The cabin is small, but with a good room feeling, due to the high ceiling and light. There is a sleeping room, and a combined kitchen and living room. Outside there is a veranda with garden furniture and a fireplace. Our guests enjoy sitting around the fireplace throughout the long, bright summer nights, and in the winter, it is cozy to barbeque and warms yourself by the fire. The cabin has a food basement and fridge, and a gas stove for cooking. There is one double bed and three single beds. The cabin is perfect for a family of three or four, and many of our guests come in groups of five. All leave the place very pleased. In the summer there is mountain water in a sink outside the cabin. In the winter, we bring you water in a 30 l milk bucket. There is an outdoor toilet and no electricity - and people love it!

This mountain area in Vang in Valdres is perfect when you love nature and activities. In winter, you can choose between kilometers of ski slopes, ski resorts, and summit hikes. In summer there are hiking trails, mountain hikes, bike paths, and paths. All year round, there are a number of activity providers in the area. Valdres also offers a varied and rich cultural and festival offer.

Here you will find everything from child-friendly local trips to demanding summit trips. Mountain farming is an over 1000-year-old tradition. Today, only a few mountain farms are still in use. Thus we are extremely happy for being a part of this tradition - and for sharing it with you!

We are far away from mass tourism; when you stay at our mountain farm, you are the only guest. We care about each and every guest and real experiences. In the winter you ski 4 km to the cabin or order snow scooter transport directly from us.
