Plugin Heat Club is Denmark's leading mental health community, with a simple mission: helping you find inner calm. Founded by Soundboks co-founder Hjalte Wieth and run by trained facilitators with backgrounds in aufguss, meditation, breathwork and cold water therapy.

Plugin Heat Club now has two locations in Copenhagen: one in Sydhavn (Vasbygade 10A) and one on Amager (Kløvermarksvej 70). Both offer a 75-minute session with three rounds of heat and cold, guided breathwork and essential oils. You can choose between three session types depending on what you need: Deep (calm and grounding), Flow (dynamic and refreshing) or High (intense, high energy, with music).

Experience a unique aufguss on board Havgus, Copenhagen's and Northern Europe's first wellness and sauna vessel. This former fishing boat has been transformed into a luxurious wellness destination with a sauna, large terraces and space for events.

As a member of Saunaklubben Havgus, you join a community focused on relaxation, recovery and renewed energy. Enjoy wellness and aufguss on the Øresund, just 10 minutes from central Copenhagen, in an authentic maritime setting. The club runs special events like full moon sauna, solstice sauna and sensory sauna, alongside regular aufguss sessions on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Members also get discounted rates on aufguss and special events.

Glaecier bathing club Refshaleøen

3. Glaecier

Glaecier is a new, exclusive bathing club on Refshaleøen in Copenhagen, with a stunning view over the city. The club is built on a purpose-designed houseboat and features a floating pool filled with filtered, crystal-clear harbour water. The sauna at Glaecier has a panoramic view of Copenhagen, making the experience both relaxing and unique.

They run Open Gus every Tuesday and Thursday (check their website for times). Non-members pay 399 DKK for Open Gus, while members pay just 99 DKK. There's also Members Gus, which is free for members only.

Sauna85 runs aufguss sessions at several locations around Copenhagen, currently in Nørrebro/Nordvest, Sydhavn and Indre By. You can also book an entire sauna wagon for events, and their saunas fit up to 20 people.

Sauna85's focus is giving you a break from everyday life, where you can enjoy the heat, the cold and the scent of essential oils. They describe it themselves as a "forced meditation", where body and mind speak the same language. A session runs about 75 minutes including breaks, made up of three rounds of 12-14 minutes with roughly 8-minute breaks in between.

5. Innercise – Aufguss and Ice Bath

Take your aufguss experience up a notch at Innercise! From the fourth-floor rooftop terrace, you get a panoramic view over Sydhavn as the sunset lights up the city. Between sessions, enjoy snacks and drinks, and take a refreshing ice bath to round out the contrast and circulation training, with breathing as your anchor.

Just Sauna has locations in Frederiksberg, Albertslund and Frederikssund, each with a rustic, laid-back atmosphere built around wellbeing and relaxation. At the Frederiksberg location, aufguss runs every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, with both Power and Relax aufguss sessions, plus full moon sauna.

Their Frederiksberg sauna holds up to 13 people, Albertslund up to 18, and they'll soon open a new wellness studio in Frederikssund with room for 40-50 people, perfect for private events and larger groups.

Worth noting: in 2024 Ulla took first place in the Danish championships for Team Show Aufguss, followed by a strong 19th place at the world championships.

Butchers Heat Refshaleøen

7. Butchers Heat

Butchers Heat runs two saunas in Copenhagen, a permanent one at Margretheholmen Harbour on Refshaleøen, where anyone can book into aufguss events on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, plus a membership option for access six days a week. They also run a mobile SaunaTruck that pops up at different locations offering aufguss sessions.

The SaunaTruck is an old military personnel carrier with a history with the Danish Frogman Corps, now converted into a mobile wood-fired sauna. One thing's for sure with Butchers Heat: their sessions run properly hot.
