Accommodation description
Long Alley Barn is a tranquil place to stop and rest at Lawson Park, only 2 hours from Sydney on the edge of the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. The Barn has been restored with all the facilities to accommodate a modern getaway while preserving the integrity of this old farm structure. Guests are invited to enjoy the beauty and serenity of this place, spot kangaroos, crimson rosellas and just maybe a wombat while strolling along the creek within our valley of bushland. Perfect for couples.

The Barn features spacious open plan living, dining and kitchen areas that are heated by a large stone fireplace and a potbelly stove. Enjoy alfresco dining on the verandah or just find a sunny spot to capture the view with a good book. The bathhouse features a stylish bathroom with rainfall shower and clawfoot bath with views of the surrounding bushland and a separate washroom/water closet.

Snuggle into the ground floor bedroom where a queen bed overlooks one of the property's dams. Gaze out through the french-door balcony windows to the treetops from the comfort of the elevated king bedroom.

      Secret tip
On the Western edge of the Blue Mountains World Heritage is this special place. Its cultural and natural history are intertwined with the beauty fo the Blue Mountains. Hartley Village and surrounds has a rich local history of early explorations and settlements of European Settlement. The Hartley Valley is growing with more and more opportunity to sample local delicious food!
Enjoy the scenery and the wild life. Enjoy the sunset colours on the surrounding cliffs. Snuggling by the fire. The feeling you are away from everything yet within 15 minutes of modern life, great local produce and attractions. Such as Jenolan Caves, local villages & pubs from Hill End, Portland, Oberon, Tarana, Rydal and beyond!
As a gardener I do like a day trip to Mayfield in Oberon, Mt Wilson in the Autumn and the many the local seasonal open gardens. For the more adventurous, walking our local Mt York historic tracks, driving to the Glow Worm Caves, visiting Newnes and the Gardens of Stones.
Guests should not forget to pack their…. Good walking shoes and warm clothing, even at night in the summer it can get cool outside! Food provisions for their stay.
