EXPERIENCE THE GARBOULUND VINEYARD UNIQUE ACCOMMODATION - WINE BAR - CAFÉ - WINERY - SHOP - BUTTERFLY PATH - EVENTS - and much more. Garbolund is an experience universe and a vineyard. We produce pure, natural wines without additives, filtration, or other manipulation. It can be tasted and felt when you drink them. At Garbolund, you can enjoy our natural wines in a relaxed atmosphere, in the historical and idyllic surroundings, where you can feel like you are in another time or a slightly different world. Many call the place a small time capsule with a Mediterranean atmosphere. We also create the framework for special experiences at the vineyard. A popular gathering place is our wine bar and café, where you can sit in the sun and enjoy a snack, cake, coffee/tea, soda, or ice cream. We serve food by pre-order. All ingredients are primarily organic and/or locally produced and of high quality. The Yellow Barn is occasionally a venue for events with live music, communal dining, and parties. ACCOMMODATION AT GARBOLUND Garbolund offers unique accommodation and retreat for anyone who wants to extend their stay at the farm or needs a stop on their hike or journey. We offer both B&B in our cozy indoor rooms; the Pilgrim Room, the Wine Cellar, and the Love Room, but we also have two lovely glamping tents if you prefer a tent with a bit more luxury. Garbolund also offers accommodation in two shelters in the beautiful Butterfly Path with views of fields and magnificent nature. In our accommodation rooms, there is the possibility of extra bedding for additional guests. You can also camp in your own tent in the vineyards and cook over a fire. Facilities such as toilets and shower rooms are shared among all guests staying at the farm. THE WINE & WINERY The winery is the heart of the farm, and here we often hold presentations and tell about wine production; how and why we make natural wine, we also occasionally hold presentations on entrepreneurship or sustainable agricultural practices, etc. The organic grapes are hand-harvested, and we have a large circle of local volunteers, guests, friends, and acquaintances who help us harvest every weekend in October. The harvest is an important and special time. Everyone can help out, and you can sign up for the harvest via the website when we announce the dates. You only harvest for about 3 hours a day and then eat and enjoy yourself at the farm with food and wine. The grapes are sorted very carefully both during and after harvest and are gently pressed in our own winery at the farm in Annisse. The natural wild yeast cells on the grapes, together with the temperature in the winery, create the basis for the spontaneous fermentation that gives a special 'natural wine flavor.' After harvest and fermentation, all wines rest in the winery over the winter or even longer. For some wines, several years. It depends on what each wine needs and its potential. We do not filter the wines but instead carefully rack them several times during the winter to remove yeast, pollen residues, and other impurities. The wines are not added sugar, sulfites, fining agents, or other additives. It is the wild yeast, the sun, the wind, the weather, the soil, and the microflora of the fields that give each batch its own character and flavor. NATURE AROUND GARBOLUND The Butterfly Path, the beautiful nature in the area, and the vineyards surround all of Garbolund, and you cannot help but be captivated by the area and nature. The Butterfly Path winds along the fields and is sown exclusively with Danish native wildflower species. We have created the Butterfly Path to benefit nature and be a habitat and breeding ground for butterflies, insects, and small birds, thereby creating greater biodiversity locally and in agriculture. But it is also made to delight people and provide great nature experiences. At Garbolund, we do our best to care for nature in harmony with agriculture. We cultivate our vineyards and land organically and as gently as possible to support local biological diversity and avoid burdening the climate and ecosystems as much as possible. For the same reason, we have established two small ponds to benefit birds and frogs, etc. The cows graze peacefully on the meadow around the ponds between the vineyards, completing the feeling of having landed in a beautiful and calm time capsule. You are welcome to settle down and enjoy nature whenever and wherever you like. From the top of the vineyard, from the very highest point, 'Baunen,' you can see far across the landscape and Arresø. You can follow the path all the way around our vineyards; the trip is about 1.2 km. We hope you will experience that we care a lot about you feeling expected and welcome when you are our guest. We look forward to welcoming you to Garbolund!
