We decided to rent our wooden chalet to accommodate families that participate in our programs or families that want simply disconnect from the routine and spend a few days in full communion with nature.
At the front there is a deck where you can enjoy your meals or simply relax contemplating the cork trees.
The chalet is adapted for 6 people (4 accommodated in a bed and 2 mattresses and/or sofa bed) with a crib available on request. Fully equipped and built in wood, it invites our guests to feel the comfort provided by this noble material without wearing shoes inside the chalet.
Our farm has organic certification and therefore no chemicals products are used. We ask those who visit us to use only ecological hygiene products.
Our farm tries to be as much childfriendly as possible and we run Waldorf & Forest School programs for children all around the world. Discover yourself and the world outside the screen is one of our main goals. Some of our activities are: taking care of animals, woodworking, discovering wild plants, beekeeping, helping in the garden, preparing fire, baking bread, solar cooking, swinging on a tree, playing, singing, laughing, be a Child.
We have a playground, a eco-swimming pool (lake), an area specially dedicated to children with several shelters and a place for meals, a compost toilet, all in the middle of nature and completely outdoors.
The entire farm is a pedagogical place where the adults act as role models for children, so smoking and taking drugs is completely forbidden, inside and outside the house.
We have 3 little sheeps and 1 goat that are used to to walk free in the place. They are very sociable and its possible they make you a visit in the chalet! This way, and also because we already have a dog and a cat, and are committed to create an ecological system on the farm, we do not accept the presence of more animals.
With the Castelo de Bode dam (one of the largest in the country) a 15 minutes walk away, the access to our site from the village of Carvalhal (parish of Serra) is via a dirt road, about 2 Km. In Serra you can find essential services and in Tomar, the charming Templar city, its attractions, where the Convent of Christ - Castle, a World Heritage Site, stands out. The wonderful Nazaré beaches are 1 hour distance by car. Lisbon airport is 1h15 minutes distant.
