Rebecca and I went on a little getaway with one night in the treehouse near Kværndrup. We had been longing to fully unwind, enjoy nature and take a break from everyday life. At the same time, we wanted to capture the special atmosphere and show how magical a stay in the treetops can be. It turned out to be exactly the peaceful and cosy experience we had hoped for.
From the moment we climbed up the ladder to the treehouse, it felt like stepping into a completely different world. The cabin is cosily decorated with lots of wood, large windows and a fantastic view of the fields, while the branches of the beech tree almost become part of the room.
We spent the evening on the terrace overlooking the landscape, where the host cooked Asian food for us, and enjoyed the stillness before drifting off to sleep to the sounds of nature. Even though the cabin has simple woodland charm, every little detail has been thought through, and the facilities made the stay both comfortable and relaxing. Waking up to birdsong, open windows and the morning sun through the treetops was undoubtedly the highlight. It's a place where the pace automatically slows down.
What I loved most was the completely unique feeling of staying up in a large beech tree with views over the fields. The large windows, the cosy wood interior and the terrace made it easy to enjoy nature around the clock. At the same time, the cabin had everything we needed, so you get both the authentic woodland atmosphere and the comfort for a relaxing stay. The birdsong in the morning and the calm around the cabin made the experience truly special 🌿
If you're staying here, I really recommend setting aside time to just enjoy the cabin and its surroundings. Start the day with a coffee on the terrace overlooking the fields, and take a stroll around the beautiful flower and kitchen garden that the host family has created. It's really lovely and full of little details.
In the evening, I'd recommend ordering takeaway and enjoying dinner on the terrace as the sun sets. If you want to explore the area, Egeskov Castle is just a short drive away and absolutely worth a visit. And remember to open the windows in the morning. There's something really special about waking up to birdsong with the feeling of being right in the treetops.

Jeg elsker at rejse og opleve nye eventyr med kameraet i hånden, og når jeg er hjemme igen, sidder jeg oftest ved hæklekrogen eller smykkebordet og skaber håndlavede stykker med samme kærlighed til detaljer.
