The Woodpecker is the middle of the 3 cabins, which are located 20 m apart, on slightly staggered levels and slightly rotated in relation to each other to avoid overlooking.

A steel spiral staircase leads from the forest path up to the platform, which runs like a small wooden terrace around the dome. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings in this romantic accommodation four meters high, in the midst of and close to nature. The cabins are located at the edge of a small untouched piece of forest. There is an open view over the fields towards both sunrise and sunset (high summer). When and if the Northern Lights appear, they can be experienced from the front row. Birds of prey and deer can be seen in the fields around. Squirrels, woodpeckers, and countless songbirds entertain in the forest.

There is access to a covered fire hut and fire pit, which is shared with the site's shelter area. A tripod with a fire bowl and grill in the fire hut. A sack of firewood for 60 kr can be purchased upon arrival. (Note! It is not allowed to use any form of grill on the platforms around the domes.)

The cabin is 34 m2 including a loft. The dome is fully insulated and can be used year-round. There is an installed heat pump/air conditioning, bathroom with shower, and kitchen as well as a skylight. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, hot plates, mini oven, electric kettle, and regular kitchen utensils. The cabin is furnished with a sofa bed, 2 lightweight armchairs, dining table, and 4 dining chairs, as well as 2 good box mattresses in the loft. A high chair and a children's weekend bed can be purchased, possibly extra bedding on the mattress.

Bedding including towels, etc., as well as cleaning, is included in the rent. A breakfast package is also included in the rent (coffee/tea/cocoa, juice, breakfast bread, butter, jam, spreadable cheese, and country eggs). Regarding other shopping, you can refer to Dag'li Brugsen in Dalmose, which is 2 km from the site and is open EVERY day from 7 – 19.

The standard rental includes 2 people. Three extra people can be added, of which one bedding is on a mattress on the floor. There is no difference between adult and child bedding. There is a good discount scheme on the rental for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th nights. Dogs are NOT allowed in The Woodpecker - we refer to The Owl.

Public transport: Train connection to Slagelse. Bus connection from Slagelse to Dalmose (some departures also to Hyllested). The FODSPORET, which is a paved former railway track for bicycles and pedestrians, goes right past Møllegården. It is 2 km from Dalmose to Møllegården's Tree Top Cabins.
