WELCOME to our cozy tree-top cabin, 6.2 meters above the ground. Here you can enjoy the view of the fields, relax on the two terraces, and spend the night between three trees in a cabin built almost exclusively from natural and recycled materials.
The cabin is insulated and has electricity, heating, a small kitchenette, and a comfortable corner sofa that converts into a small double bed measuring 123 x 190 cm. On the covered terrace, there is a sink with cold water, and below the cabin, you will find a small toilet house.
The calendar opens continuously 1-2 months ahead.
THE CABIN AND ACCESS
The cabin is accessed via a sturdy and stable aluminum ladder. Luggage can be hoisted up with a hoist, so you have your hands free on the way up. Access requires that you feel comfortable climbing a ladder at height. When entering through the glass door, most people experience the cabin as stable and safe.
Inside, there is a small corner sofa that easily converts into a double bed measuring 123 x 190 cm. The bed is therefore smaller than a standard double bed but works fine for most for one or two nights.
Under the sofa, there is a double duvet, pillows, bed linen, and sheets that are mandatory to use (we have to charge a cleaning fee of 500 kr if this is not followed).
In the shelf, you will find games and books. The kitchenette has a kettle, tea, coffee, dishes for three people, and various necessities. Here you can make a hot drink, but not prepare actual meals. Used dishes can be returned or exchanged at the house.
TWO TERRACES IN THE TREE TOPS
Right outside the cabin is a covered terrace with a small sink with cold water. In freezing weather, you will instead get water in jugs that can stand inside the cabin.
On top of the cabin, there is a small sun deck where you can enjoy the sun undisturbed during the day. Both terraces are surrounded by a sturdy railing.
A CABIN WITH A STORY
The cabin is built from materials that have been given new life: lath cladding and light switches from our old house, sorted timber from construction sites, remnants of highly insulating Kingspan panels, and 150-year-old floorboards. The wallpaper and ceiling are decorated with cutouts from old books. This gives the cabin its own unique expression.
TOILET, SHOWER, AND COOKING
Below the cabin is a small toilet house with a camping toilet, sink, cold water, and power outlet.
At the house, you can use our outdoor shower with pleasantly warm water. It is located on a secluded terrace. Remember towels.
If you want to cook, there is a better-equipped kitchen in the basement room under the terrace at the house. Here you will find a hot plate, mini oven, electric cooler, hand blender, pots, dishes, and hot and cold water. The room can be cool in winter, but the temperature does not drop below 8 °C. If you use the kitchen, you are responsible for washing dishes and cleaning up.
THE GARDEN AND THE FOREST
The tree-top cabin is located in our 16,800 m² garden. Here you will find a trampoline, two lakes, a small island with a brick bridge, a rowing boat, a raft, rare trees, giant rhododendrons, and paths for little adventures.
In one of the lakes, you can mostly swim. Here there is both a bathing jetty and a water slide – so remember swimwear and towels.
From the garden, there is direct access to the Great Dyrehave, which is part of the UNESCO-protected parforce hunting landscape. Here you can explore the forest or try the 32 km long mountain bike trail.
You are welcome to borrow our bikes for a trip to the forest or for smaller shopping. If you want to race or use the mountain bike trail, you need to bring your own bike.
We are always working on new building and gardening projects, so there will likely be something going on when you visit us.
ADDITIONAL OPTIONS DURING YOUR STAY
Breakfast – 175 kr. for two people
We offer breakfast at 9 am on most days. Ask at booking if it is possible during your stay.
Hot tub – 350 kr.
On the terrace by the house, you can enjoy a warm hot tub with a view of the garden and fields and a large beech tree above you. It is especially nice in the evening – even in snow, frost, and rain. Arrange this with us in good time so we can prepare the bath. Before the bath, you must shower and wash thoroughly for water quality reasons. Remember towels.
Outdoor escape rooms
We have two outdoor games: one for children for 150 kr. and a more challenging one for adults for 200 kr. You can go to and from both games during your stay - expect each game to take 2-3 hours.

WEATHER AND SAFETY
In case of storm or thunder, we have an alternative room that we will ask you to move to if we assess that it is unsafe to stay in the cabin. If you feel unsafe about the weather, you can also move to the room. In some cases, the weather may make it necessary to cancel the stay before arrival.
Smoking and open flames are prohibited in, under, over, and near the cabin.
Be careful on the ladder, in the cabin, and on the terraces. Alcohol increases the risk of accidents, especially when moving at height. Movement around the tree-top cabin, by the lakes, and on the property
