The Green Orangerie is located by the Limfjord south of Aalborg – between Nibe and Løgstør with Vidkær Å and the Himmerland Heaths just outside the door. Here you will find a small pocket of happiness, where you can experience friendly hospitality, comfort with a sustainable focus, and time to enjoy and sense.

Do you dream of enjoying the warmth from the wood stove with a view of the apple orchard? Or putting on your hiking boots and exploring the Himmerland heaths or the Natura 2000 area near Halkær?
You can also bring your binoculars and take a closer look at the wildlife in the valley.

In The Green Orangerie, 2 people can stay very close to nature.
You can order breakfast and have it delivered. You can also order a raw ingredient package for a climate-friendly dinner.

Here you can hear the birds chirping, the hedgehogs rustling, and the wind whispering in the treetops or warm yourself by the wood stove like in the old days. The accommodation includes a personal welcome upon arrival, freshly made beds, air-dried towels, and free WiFi, coffee, and tea. The beds are old original wooden beds that have been extended to the current standard size of 200 x 90 cm.

When it gets dark outside, you can look up at the sky and count the stars through a skylight. Sustainable sleep. When you go to bed, you rest in duvets and pillows made from the plant material kapok. This is very hypoallergenic, temperature-regulating, and organically produced. The bedding is organic linen.

Heating: When you arrive, the wood stove is lit - unless it is summer. It is also on the wood stove that you can prepare your food and boil water for coffee/tea.
Firewood (for reasonable consumption) is included.

There is also an electric kettle. An outdoor refrigerator/earth cellar can be found outside, and you can borrow a cooler bag.
It is also possible to use the shared refrigerator/freezer in the glasshouse/reception.

The minibar can be found in the refrigerator, where you can buy local and organic beverages:
juice, soda, craft beer, organic wine, and apple juice.

We also sell Glerups wool slippers. Order your favorite color upon arrival and have it delivered before departure. We source locally from the producer.

You have plenty of opportunities to use the natural grounds, where you will also find the fire pit. The water in the toilet building is heated by solar energy.

There is room for 2 adults and one infant. The number of adults can be selected under the number of people. An extra infant bed can be selected as an add-on. If you are traveling with children, please contact us.

Handicap-friendly: The Orangerie with its own toilet and shower is very handicap-friendly - tested by the local disability council.

Parking for handicap vehicles is available, and from there the path leads down to The Green Orangerie. Note: The path has a slope of just over 5% - and is therefore best suited for electric wheelchairs, but can be used by manual wheelchairs with assistance.

Dogs are allowed in The Green Orangerie when
- The dog does not stay on the beds.
- The dog is always on a leash outside.
- The dog is never left alone in the room.

Arrival time is to be communicated to the host - preferably the day before arrival.
